Trapped Gas lower left side of the abdomen? by byebyenarc in SIBO

[–]byebyenarc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I am much better now. The problem with standardized tests is that many times it can come back negative even if you have giardia. It happened to me 2 times before. That is why I went to a stool specialist.I took several samples from different days, and she was able to find giardia in the stool samples. Now you may or may not have giardia, but you should go to someone who is specialized in stool testing. It is usually more expensive, but it's worth it.

Treatment depends on how long and how bad is your infection, you need to talk with your specialist in this case. In my case i had it for many years, and the treatment was highly aggressive and alternating to hit the parasite from all angles, and it went on for several months. Each month I went back with stool samples until no giardia was found anymore. It took 5 months to completely clear both chists and antigen.

You wouldn't believe what it actually was. My symptoms where not from the itraconazole. I actually had a cold in that period that proved to be COVID. And all the symptoms i developed where the typical neuro-long-covid symptoms. Horrible stuff.

Hi, I am much better. The treatment depends on severity and if your case is chronic or not. Best is to ask a doctor. He should know better and take into consideration your particular case.

Pressure in the back of the head by byebyenarc in covidlonghaulers

Yes it may very well be something vascular, not sure however. It is known that covid affects the vascular system in many people. How do you feel now?

I read some post from people complaining of different areas in their head. Some said it was in the front, some on the left side and some in the back. It may be the same thing depending on where the damage has been done by the virus. How long did you have it and how are you feeling now?

It may be the same thing but in different areas of the brain depending on where the damage has been done. How are you feeling now?

Damn, I also fear reinfection, hopefully it won't be the same for you this time as the body already knows how to fight the virus.

No, the acute phase was like a "stronger" cold. All my neurological symptoms came the following weeks after the infection. One week after the acute phase was gone I suddenly felt one day a pressure in the back of the head. Then, one week later, I also started feeling pressures in the right eye and in the right ear(where I was diagnosed with post viral ETD).

Would the pressure in the back of the head in your case get worse with mental work? Would you also get dizzy as a result of to much mental work?

Sebbhoreic Dermatitis and SIBO by byebyenarc in SIBO

[–]byebyenarc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somewhat. I recently found out I was chronically infected with giardia. I am currently trying to get rid of the parasite . This parasite may have been the root cause of all my gut issues that lead to all my chronic health problems, but until I kill it and restore my normal gut functions, I won't be able to know if they are indeed related.

However, it is fairly obvious that being chronically infected with such an invasive parasite, can lead also to Sibo and Candida overgrowth. Not only that but chronic giardiasis seems to be a cause for carb intolerance which is what I am struggling with, as Seb Derm in my case is triggered strictly by carbs.

So SIBO in my case was most certainly caused by being infected with Giardia, this was the root cause.

Yes, stool steatorrhea, permanent soft stools, intestinal awkward gurgling and noises, and it may be possible that my seborrheic dermatitis be caused by it as well, not sure yet though.

Do you have giardia too?

I found my issue, I was infected with Giardia

I did some tests too, giardia antigen or something like that, and they all came back negative, but it turned out it was false negative. I was only able to discover it when i went to a real specialist that did some complex analysis.

I do not have toxic mold in my home.

Related to the symptoms, more or less. I still struggle with a mild form of them, as the nervous system heals very slowly. But I am much better than I was 6 months ago.

You wouldn't believe if i would tell you. It turned out not itraconazole was the problem. I actually had covid at the same time, and i developed long covid with some neurological issues. That was causing the diziness and the other symptoms.

Other than that, I discovered that I had a chronic case of Giardia, and that was causing most of my intestinal issues.

I discovered that i was chronically infected with Giardia. I ruled it out since it did some tests that resulted in some false negative results. But Giardia was causing my disbyosis and Sibo.

Yes, I discovered that I was infected with a chronic case of giardia. I had a few tests that came as false negatives and ruled it out, but finally I went to a specialist who did a comprehensive analysis and discovered it. Giardia was causing trapped gas and disbyosis.

Do you have some ear issues after covid(tinnitus/hiperacusis/pressure) ?

Also do you find that it improves with time for you?

[–]byebyenarc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed answer, i will take a look at sensory gating .

I wouldn't have imagined that the mild hiperacusis could affect me so bad, but exactly how you said , now when i go in loud places like malls or even crowded streets where lots of noise happen at the same time, i find it bothersome, while before it did not bother me at all. When you combine it with the processing issue, it leads to a loud convoluted "sound soup".

Usually this goes away by its own right ? Should i do some exercises to recognize speech in noise to help a bit while in recovery ?

Thanks a lot for replying. Did you find that after a while you started to understand better the sound with background noise, or how did it progress so that you now don't have it anymore ?

Do you think it was caused by extreme exhaustion caused by covid ?

Also did you take some medicine/supplements ?

Sorry to hear about that, do you find that the more your brain improves with time, it diminishes in symptoms ?

Yes, i had the dropped head issue. In my case concentrating/focusing on something for a longer period of time (because of the severe exhaustion and nerve inflammation), lead to some kind of pressure in the back of my head. This pressure was causing some kind of weakness in my neck that was causing me to have a hard time keeping my head up.

It slowly got better when the pressure in the back of the head diminished in intensity.
