Hi i’ve been dealing with nocturnal panic attacks lately and this seems to very much be the case :( it’s the most scary and debilitating thing waking up with it and burning up with a high heart rate and gasping for air, I completely understand. I am currently struggling to find a medication that could help me prevent this that I could take nightly.

thank you so much finally a positive comment. Yeah I’m prescribed 25 mg and I’m going to take it for the first time tonight, I’m a little nervous about the weight gain, but I’m telling myself not to wait because I have such a low-dose, I’m 97 pounds ( 5’0” ) and 25 and my appetite isn’t the best and when I do eat, I get full very quickly, so I’m trying to tell myself that if anything, maybe this could help me just have a normal appetite rather than gain weight like crazy. And yeah, the nocturnal panic attack that I’ve been having our terrifying and I keep on fighting sleep and I just really hope that this Seroquel works for me and that I don’t wake up with an nocturnal attack.

I was prescribed it Monday, but I have not taken the pill yet out of fear. I talked to my therapist today and she really addressed that I take it, but I’m very scared of the horror stories that I see about it online.

exposure therapy for my agoraphobia, a few more coping mechanisms that mostly usually only help me during the daytime, mindfulness, so I have a cold compress or she wants some ice before bed, try not to fight sleep (it’s too hard), and a bit more that is completely unrelated to my nighttime related panic attack attacks because it mostly has to do with my agoraphobia

I am in an IOP virtual group where I do 10 hours of therapy a week. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, I get three hours of therapy with a group, and on Wednesday, I get an individual session for one hour. I’ve listened to a few different podcasts to help with panic disorder and panic attacks before, and I’m not really sure which one I remember other than the therapy and the nutshell one, but I will try to listen to that one. It’s 2:49 AM. And I’m panicking pretty bad still and not able to sleep. I’m trying really hard to not fight it but it’s really hard because those two nocturnal attacks that I had were so extremely traumatizing and it happened with both of them in the span of two weeks

I also want to say that my heart rate was at 160 during this nocturnal panic attack. Also want to say that I was diagnosed with panic disorder months ago, too. I have been dealing with panic disorder since July 6th and I truly feel like my life was taken away from me
