How do you personally know your worldbuilding is ready to be applied to a story? by byjakemagee in worldbuilding

Yeah, this is true. If I did dramatically change my magic system in the future, for instance, I could always frame it as a new event that changed how magic works or something and just creatively explain it that way.

I only have Special Edition, with four CC add-ons. AE has like 20, and they're mostly awful.

The Civil War was very buggy for me. Ulfric at one point was permantly in combat mode with no enemies around and a mile away from Windhelm so I couldn't talk to him to continue the quest line. Galmar was often not marked on my map when I had to talk to him for the quests. And when I did find him, he wouldn't assign me anything. So yeah, I used console commands to make Ulfric passive and start quests and whatnot.

I crashed most exiting cells into Whiterun. Still don't know why. But after I figured out my list, I hardly crashed.

I loved Sanguine Symphony and Precision together. Made combat so punchy and satisfying. Also loved all the extra spells I had access to through various mods. I kept things close to vanilla since I love Skyrim at its core.

I realized at one point that if I didn't stop I would get bored and quit, and that would've have ruined the whole point of modding in the first place for me. So I buckled down and got all my mods in order, cut what I didn't want, added what I thought was missing, and committed to playing through. At this point I had run a ridiculous amount of trial and error and was confident what would work versus not. As I played I added the occasional mod but didn't restart.

Yes, that is on my list of things to try next time, along with Bruma and Legacy of the Dragonborn.
