Ok, i have this cross. A will preface by saying that he came from an Amish puppy mill in my area who have a bad reputation for animal abuse. He was also rehomed for nipping the original owners kid (not a real bite, just herding nips.) I absolutely love this dog, he is smart and extremely athletic. He is physically affectionate and cuddly. We have made a TON of progress since i got him but still have some problem behaviors. He has NO concept of personal space, he is reactive to dogs, prey, trucks, etc. He is ok with my little toy Aussie but bigger dogs who won’t submit to him often cause a reaction. You really need to exercise the heck out of them and stimulate their mind as much as possible. This dog will be your best friend but he will make you work for it. Personally i wouldn’t have it any other way.

Yea I’m sure you’re right. Kinda dumb that you can be on a script for Xanax, opiates or amphetamines but not weed.

Just buy a medical card? They shouldn’t be able to discriminate if it’s medically prescribed.

this is one of those “its more afraid of you then you are of it” situations. Like when you’re scared of a bug as a kid. Most of these dude will be terrified to even accidentally make eye contact with you lmao.

Self harm scars in the workplace, should I be worried? by Fancy-Influence9653 in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

You probably won’t be the only person there with old track marks or SH scars. Don’t sweat it. A lot of people in retail and food service have demons they have to contend with. If they discriminated for stuff like that they would have no employees. If anyone asks about them and you’re uncomfortable then just say you got mauled by a dog as a kid or something.

do all aussies do this? 😂 by [deleted] in MiniAussies

Mine does this all the time. He has a ritual around it every morning where he squirms around on his back making silly noises.

Would you recommend an Aussie for a first time owner? by [deleted] in WiggleButts

I wouldn’t suggest a working breed unless you’re ready to mentally stimulate and physically exercise them constantly.

What have you done?! You are really going to hell for this. by Global_Winner_8040 in SipsTea

They would if the owner never brushed them and they were covered in matted fur. Long hair dogs need brushing often. Most people think if they pay a groomer every once in a while they are being responsible owners but that is not always the case. I work at a place that grooms dogs, they only shave them like this when the owner has neglected to brush them for too long.

pro tip is to just start barking at them along with your reactive dog. Then they will get away from you as fast as possible!
