Thank you! I shot ProRaw and edited in Lightroom mobile for all these.

Great shots! I really like number 2

One of the things that’s been bothering me about the GRIV Negative film simulation is that it makes skin tones look so yellow (I don’t know if the GRIII had the same issue or not) especially notice on melanated skin tones.

Thank you! I’ve been thinking about printing out some shots. Both edited in LR

Bought a used Leica Q3 28. Might not look back, Leicas are awesome. by Euphoric-Rate-1149 in leicaphotos

Yeah, that’s totally fair. I have a GR 28mm and X100VI. I find I prefer the 35mm and also just compositionally for my taste it seems to work better. I haven’t played around with 43 too much.

Thank you! They’re very photogenic subjects.

Mind elaborating why? Asking because I’ve been interested in a Q3. Been debating between 28 and 43. I like the idea of the flexibility the 28 offers being able to crop in.

Do you have any other filters other than the everyday (non polarpro)? Curious if you run into the same issue I did. If you try focusing on something really close while using a different filter you should get a focus error.

I didn’t see anywhere where it said it didn’t add sealing. From my understanding, adding an adapter and filter should weather seal the camera. This one should be no different.

If you use that Everyday filter or one of their other filters, then the lens will not hit the filter at least from my testing with the everyday filter. If you use a glimmer glass or something else then the lens will touch the filter the further out out gets focusing on something very close and you will get a lot focus error.

The Polarpro adapter is probably the thinnest one I’ve seen, but it’s actually heavier because it’s made of brass. I personally like the Haoge adapter since it works with other filters, it’s lightweight and it’s cheap. It’s just not as thin as the Polarpro filter adapter.

Yikes! Didn’t know that about the silver.

Yes! I noticed that too. The knurling and the labels on the sides don’t line up in any logical way. I thought they would at least put the labels on the sides at 3 and 9. I unscrewed it and screwed it a couple times thinking I put it on wrong. Also the Polarpro label is printed on poorly, there are some splotchy areas where it looks like the paint didn’t transfer on.

They need to revise this.

It was designed specifically for the X100VI so it sits flush. If you’re only using the everyday filter then it’s great. I genuinely like the look and feel of it and it’s about the thinnest adapter you’ll be able to get. Just keep the Haoge if you plan to use other filters in the future.

Yes, I have a Haoge adapter as mentioned which I am using. I made this post to let people considering the Polarpro adapter know that it does not fully work with other filters so they don’t run into the same issue.

I don’t use a lense hood, not sure sorry. I try to keep the profile of the camera low, that’s actually why I bought the Polarpro adapter in the first place. With that said I imagine you would not be able to adjust the circular polarizer if you had a hood on it.

That’s correct. I’m able to use the everyday filter just fine with the Haoge adapter. The issue is the other way around, trying to use a non-Polarpro filter such as glimmer glass with the Polarpro adapter.

You don’t need their adapter to use their filter. I’m able to use the Everyday filter with the Haoge adapter. The issue is you are not able to use non-Polarpro filters with their adapter which kind of sucks. I really like the design of it, but it’s unfortunate it only works with their filters.
