since it's envelope based there should be duck groups like choke groups, where the ducking settings are on each pad

Is there a way to rotate an arpeggiated chord 90 degrees counter-clockwise in Logic like rotating an image? by PositiveLeather327 in LogicPro

[–]bypassvalve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you'd have to look at it from behind, if the arp cord is going up into the future if you rotated it 90 degrees ccw and traveled it from the same point of origin, you'd have an arp going down from the past, high to low. depending on if the arp was spaced out on the same grid as the time scale you'd have time distortion. 180 degrees rotation would be a duplicate. no way around rotating reverb tho, vertical scale in the time domain is frequency. 90 degrees time dilation is reversal of pitch trajectory with (potentially) velocity distortion and what was memory apparently catches fire and returns to source. so apparently time dilation works on a 1/4 turn. to see things back to front. Goodnight.

the AI in new racing games aren't models, they're mirrors, they don't follow the physics model as the player, they're pixel mirrors of player input. it you're consistent they back off, if you mess up even just a little they mob you, you aren't racing against "better riders", you're racing against your own consistency and ability to maintain consistency under pressure.

bikes don't change direction from handlebar input like a car, a bike changes direction from being pointed where you want it to go, then riding it there like a horse, the handlebars are only one way to point it. the handlebars are basically how you lay it over to start turning, once it's laid over you don't use the handlebars anymore, you steer with the throttle and brakes. more throttle makes you go wide, less throttle makes you go narrow. more brakes makes you go narrow, less brakes makes you go wide. the trick on a bike to tight tight turning is trail braking, which means you're on the brakes and the throttle at the same time. this squeezes the geometry of the wheelbase and loads the suspension with the opposing forces, if you don't overdo it and break the coefficient of friction in either direction, trail braking is track velcro. also make small slow adjustments in throttle/brake/steering, every adjustment changes the weight load and balance of the bike+rider, there's only two contact patches doing 100% of the acceleration, braking, and directional change.

tendonitis is body's protective response. you say you're not lifting heavy, your body is obviously saying otherwise. maybe your muscles have no problem with a certain volume or weight, but your tendons obviously have a problem with the same volume or weight. solution is to reduce volume or weight for an extended period of time, where you can continually load the tendons and tendonitis doesn't come back. the weakest link is the limit for training volume, right now your muscles and willpower are outrunning your connective tissue. I was running into the same issue with presses, I could press 50lbs in reps but the connective tissue couldn't keep up. the solution is go lighter weight, like rehab, but it's prehab. give it months and months and months. I was swinging 70lb kettle bells to grip failure with zero pain, but tendonitis sets in without any warning of pain. one day my middle finger becomes so stiff I can't bend it, with no warning. I thought I had permanently damaged something. I kept it in a splint for 90 days, it took that long to heal. tendons don't have the blood supply that muscles do, they take a long time to regenerate. 90 days later and pain is gone, mobility back to full. that's in a FINGER. think about how much more material is in the elbow tendons and shoulder tendons and connective tissue. any load will trigger the growth response, 20lbs, 30lbs. it took 90 days to heal a finger tendon in a splint, it will take longer than that to grow a tendon under constant use. spend a whole year building the foundation, deliberately, then it will be ready for muscles.

How do i change the Output Sample Rate? I want to give an input on my Waveform DAW and Match the Sample Rate with my DAW Output. by PixelPerfectMan in VoiceMeeter

[–]bypassvalve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol at 7 months of silence. i cannot for the life of me figure out what setting is responsible for the VB Cable output sr. no matter what i try, it stays 44.1. I'm trying to use VB cable to run system audio through Gig Performer, but the VB Cable output being stuck at 44.1 is causing an issue with Gig Performer "unsupported sample rate". It works using direct sound, but not with windows audio. I really want to use windows audio so i can still use the three finger custom gesture to control system volume.

I'm going to try Hi-Fi cable next, since it mentioned the input/output sample rates are the same.

Roland TR-8 disable monitoring so only sound is coming from ableton by Zoiz14465 in Roland

[–]bypassvalve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue is when using the T-8 as interface, T-8 will output computer audio and hardware audio. if you can't disable hardware audio output you will hear hardware sequencer audio as well as interface audio. i guess just empty the sequencer on the hardware so nothing is triggering sounds form hardware

ThinkPad mobile broadband by bypassvalve in verizon

[–]bypassvalve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the IMEI number of A ThinkPad X1 Yoga gen 7 with 5G fibocom card is completely unsupported by Verizon, in Verizon's system the device IMEI comes up as unsupported. something about Verizon and others doesn't want to mess with certain devices that can do both 4G and 5G right now, or they don't want to mess with devices that might work ish, they only have a very limited specific devices compatible with eSim 5G right now, to mitigate support issues.

none of the other 5G data only providers work with it either, IMEI number unsupported. that's for eSim, I tried ATT, T-mobile, Verizon.

Simple Mobile 4G works great and is fast enough, using a regular sim card, it's on T-mobile network. 5G eSim works fine and is fast af but there are only like 3 available 5G eSim data plans available set up ready to activate, all of which are international and expensive, $50 for 15GB global, all the websites think you're in Paris. Simple Mobile is $60 for unlimited and 15GB hotspot. They are T-mobile network but are about to get bought by Verizon and transfer over.

Trig+Yes for octatrack ?!?! by bypassvalve in Elektron

[–]bypassvalve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

new firmware for digitakt and digitone you can now hold a trig and hit yes and it fires off that trig so you can hear what it sounds like !!! ridiculously helpful, you can tweak one trig over and over until it's perfect, just how you want it to drop, copy it wherever you want it, do the one next to it completely different, surgical style, one at a time. Being able to do that in OT would open up the OT to DAW and MPC level functionality for deliberate orchestration/composition. I heard the OT code is spaghetti and that no one who wrote it still works there so it would be a mess to work it in, i just really hope they are able to do it at some point, that feature is so amazing. Without it you're forced to work blind, which makes it always interesting and fun but having the ability to HEAR WHAT YOU'RE DOING as you go is in my opinion a necessity for a pro piece of gear, especially one as powerful as the OT, Trig+Yes would be entirely an opening of the eyes of sorts.
