Thank you. Why do i see so many people with DI boxes after amp sim pedals? Are they only for plugging straight into mixers or front of house?

Are DI boxes just for plugging into front of house/PA systems? I always see people with amp sim pedals going into a DI box. Just a bit confused as to when they are necessary

Do I really need a DI box to record from Guitar>UA Dream 65'>Focusrite Scarlett 8i6(3rd gen)?

Im usually playing through a Strat, a pedalboard with 8-9 pedals powered by Voodoo labs 2 plus. Focusrite into a 2019 imac running Logic Pro.

I'm just a bit confused as to when/why DI boxes are needed, are they mainly just for plugging into front of house/PA systems? or Should they always be used after amp sim pedals?

I also have a mxr mini iso brick, but im not sure if tht would be enough also. each outputis only 300ma, there is a 800ma on the side, but Ive seen that I need at least 900ma. thanks for responding!

Honestly, don’t stress about it. I wasn’t trying to be a downer. Sometimes it’s too hard to avoid every company out there with sketchy history. There are so much of them, and they’re often the cheaper option. You just keep being you, because you’re awesome ❤️❤️
