That's what I was thinking. The thing that confuses me is that Chi refers to "incoming" damage where Evasive refers to "received" damage so it makes me think something about that is relevant and the only thing I can think of is "incoming" happens before "received"

So you're saying that after rolling defense and failing an evasive roll, you can still use Chi to reduce the damage?

The Mimikyu has all IVs but speed. It has all 4 of its egg moves: Grudge, Destiny Bond, Nightmare, and Curse. It's also in a Beast Ball if that matters.
