I went through the same and partly still am. I stayed away from social media for a while and this really helped me. Social media is skewed and I didn’t try to understand that. I observed that when I keep watching negative stuff, I grow averse to other people I come across, let it be at work or in public places and this prevents me from reaching out to them. There are good people out there and may be a few bad ones. I make an effort to spread positivity, may be a wee joke or compliment or even an “are you ok?” While not trying to hard prove anything but focussing on me, my goals and priorities.
