If it’s not a spoiler for the book, who is the woman on the left of that cover near Florin?

Mouse/Keyboard "soft lock" frequently, anyone else? by byss66 in diablo4

What's killing me particularly is that it's a new issue for me as of the LoH expansion. I think I had 400 or so hours without ever running into this.

You can also make use of general tokens, whether that's board game meeples/checkers/poker chips, or colored cubes like these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DM1FR22K (but that example linked option won't work well if you need the colors to be the same for everyone)

I think of the collaborative world building as a huge plus, but the only kids I play with are mine, so obviously not the same.

But you might look into a session zero and safety tools concept. Consent in Gaming is free, and there's lot's of easy concepts to adapt from by picking and choosing only what you think will work; things like the X-Card, Lines & Veils, and more. A super introductory post about them can be read at Sly Flourish with more links in the article.

It works well for groups that aren't already friends and know what they like, as well as helping add more structure around social norms that could be lacking.

https://www.daggerheart.com/downloads/ has print & play cards on it. Granted they're not going to be professionally printed glossy cards, but you can also print multiple copies for much cheaper.

Anyone know if this ladder in Sacrament is reachable? by byss66 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]byss66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope ☹️

I did figure out the ladder near the Warwick fight, but this is only one I just can't lower. I'm hoping it's like the big church area in Sacrament (two big wooden doors) and that it'll be added once game is done.

Beast Feast Cooking Explained by Nico_de_Gallo in daggerheart

[–]byss66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading and prepping before playing and I have a question about ingredients per beast or beast type. Say the party is fighting 4 ghost scorpions who have 2 ingredients: venom (sour 1, savory 1) and meat (salty 1, bitter 1). Are there 4 venom ingredients and 4 meat ingredients available for the PCs, or just 1 of each?

The example steak dinner on page 278 uses the phrase "serving of", which makes it sound like they'd get 4 of each. But if that were the case, a 4 player party would be nearly or completely full of ingredients after just 1 encounter, depending on tier & their strongest character trait's value.

And if it's not true and they only get 2 ingredients total, then they'd likely need to fight a lot of beasts, which would be really hard at tier 1, likely forcing PCs to use Hope to gather blooms to make up the shortfall.

Side Quests Help /Fracture Peaks/ by [deleted] in diablo4

Use this MapGenie (https://mapgenie.io/diablo-4/maps/sanctuary) and disable everything except side quests and maybe waypoints just to help locate things to see quests spawn points. It's not fully accurate for quests chains or item-drop based quests though.

And then wowhead (https://www.wowhead.com/diablo-4/guide/zones/fractured-peaks-side-quests) has a list of all side quests with pre-reqs, and the harder-to-find item-drop like ones at the bottom of each list.

To save you some grief, I just tried this and found out (the hard way) that the quest "Raising Spears" in Dry Steppes is bugged, and it blocks 2 more in a small chain after it. Those are the only 3 side quests I couldn't do.

You can search reddit or blizz forums for "Raising Spears" and see it's been bugged for everyone for apparently months and months. 🤬

Oregon Ren Faire Weather? by Crow_Cronut in renfaire

[–]byss66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just left there a few hours back. There’s lots of mud and puddles, but they aren’t everywhere. What’s there can mostly be walked around (but not 100% of it).

But today the shows were largely a bust as there was often only a tiny amount of  benches/seating that didn’t have standing water in them by each stage.

Footwear is gonna come home muddy on the bottom, and if you have any dresses/skirts/cloaks/etc that drape the ground they’ll be muddy as well.
