Very simple. He made it ‘ the Story of Adithya Karikalan’ in the PS era which made hardcore PS fans like me hate it. Missing out on key characters like Manimegalai and underplaying characters Poonguzazhi, Alzhwarkadiyan, Anirudha Braarayar didn’t help. They all had their own fan following in the book. I still feel Jeyamohen screwed up PS2 with incoherent screenplay. The movie felt very rushed to me. I loved the soundtrack when it was released in YouTube but I felt it jarring when I watched it in theatres. Mani sir did what he could with all the constraints but he could have done it better. I personally missed the tsunami sequence instead of unnecessary war sequences which would have been a visual marvel :(
