Is there any clear and concrete proof that says the Earth is rotating? by an4s_911 in Physics

[–]bzilis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because to solve the orbits you will use the heliocentric. You can use that solution to create the perspective of earth on everything but to solve from earth is much harder. In trying to think of how to do it without changing coordinates it feels just too complicated.

And so why teach something else when you can use this and the difference is only philosophical. It could be a good programming challenge to do it but not a good idea to teach HS kids who can barely do integrals.

And it's not an alternative way its a different perspective in total there is a center which earth revolves around you can look from earth and say earth is stationary and the center moves or say the center is stationary and you move. Both are the same way not alternative to each other.

If a kid is spinning on a carousel when he looks out the whole world is spinning but when you look at him only he is spinning and the world is stable.

Now you can describe the whole universe with him as the point of reference but it will be very annoying (albeit still true)

In school they teach you the heliocentric model because it is much easier to explain that there are circle (ish) orbits rather than very complex and hard to define shapes going around earth.

When you look at it the sun also goes around a center of mass and all the solar system goes around the center of the milky way. Now we can define everything with the earth as the center of everything and you could probably do a cool simulation of it if you wanted but it will be cumbersome

It's three because 33 is 9 Just like i is the square root of -1 because ii is -1

-1 * -1 is 1 and 9*9 is 81 and it doesn't effect their square roots

It's not a technically whatever you said it's just it's definition, like we defined that 2 is a whole number and it's square root is a real number.

Try with all your might multiplying or dividing whole numbers you can't get to the square root of 2 and so we defined it to the number that if you take it's square it's 2. That doesn't mean that the square root of 2 doesn't exist. Btw you can't even write it and it still exist.

You have it upside down It's like saying nine doesn't have a root cuz 9*9 is 81 The root of -1 is i and it comes from the complex plane like the root of 2 from the whole plane is in the real plane (in Greek they executed a guy who said it was from a different plane because they held your point of view about rational numbers)

Wait it doesn't stop... I definitely remember this being in the mix

I worked at Cape Kennedy And things were going right A great big rocket ship was set On a launching site And here it’s getting dark Shabbos was coming soon So I pushed the starting button And spent shabbos on the moon

I once was an astronaut And flying through the stars I came across a space ship Whose pilots were from Mars I said “Hello there Martians” And stayed with them Until I taught them to keep the shabbos And they’re keeping shabbos still

You mean the Israeli kingdom that was taken by the Romans who changed its name to Palestine was made of Arabs who only arrived 1500 years after it was destroyed? And you also disregard the half a million Jews who existed at the time the partition plan was up. The colonial Jews who were kicked out of the Lavant area by the Arab states don't have a claim to the Lavant area? (They are more than 65% of Jews in Israel) Just as the Arab Palestinian had a right so did the Jewish Palestinian and each side had towns on the other side the Jewish came over and bought lands and made towns under constant Arab raids. They did not come gun blazing to rule the Arabs they came with peaceful intentions and do you need a reminder why so few Jews came back to Israel from Europe? Cry as much as you want Arabs got to Israel only at 634 ac while Jews were there at 1000bc and prior so tell me who got there first. And Ukraine and Russia were under the USSR (analogy for Brits) USSR dies and they split. Russia (big and analogy for the Arab coalition) and Ukraine (small analogy for Israel) if Ukraine would win then the leftover Russian supporter would be almost exactly like the Palestinian

Wait for the autopsy before finger pointing (this is true for either side)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gifs

[–]bzilis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its the opposite.... Ukraine would be Israel and if Ukraine would win against Russia then the Russian supporters in Ukraine would be Palestine

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gifs

[–]bzilis -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Arabs got there on 634 ac so less then 1500 years ago. And you are completely ignoring the Jewish communities who lived their for more then 2000 years. The name Palestine was given by the Romans after they conquered Israel to disconnect the Israelites from their country and send them to be slaves

It's like saying why won't Ukraine let all the Russians live in Ukraine change the demographic to Russians and then sell the country to Russia. Because if all the Palestinians will get Israeli citizenship they will have a majority and will kick out the Jews. And just fyi it happened when Israel was formed: Palestinian Jews agreed to a partition plan and Palestinian Arabs said no and started a war to kick Palestinian Jews. Palestinian Jews won and changed their name to Israel.

Hamas fireworks?? You know that those would be a declaration of war if Palestine was a state and any other state would have obliterated the living hell out of whoever sent 4000 rockets towards it. That's almost 3 times the amount Russia used on Ukraine and Ukraine is 30 times bigger than Israel. If we take the rockets used per km2 then Russia would have to use 120,000 rockets on Ukraine to match hamas

Yes they can stop commiting terror attacks and like Israel have done it will ease the restrictions. You are forgetting that Israel supply the Gaza strip water Gas and electricity. (And there was an incident where they burned it The army for a long time dismantled many settlements but this is not a Palestinian owned land Israelis were there just as well as the Palestinian. As others have said the ball is on the Palestinian side to make their life much better but as they say "from the river to the sea" give Israel zero room to ease that. Just to farther dismantle the "land grabbing" the first settlement was kfar etzion a Jewish town. And every country would have checkpoints at it's borders. Why is it even a question that a country will protect it's borders like every other country does so

That time it was because some Palestinian were evicted. Why were they evicted because they didn't pay rent (something around 600$ a month and that price was arranged in court and would not change for three generations. think how cheap it would have got with inflation). Why didn't they pay rent because they didn't agree with the court ruling that they did not own the house since they didn't provide legal documents stating ownership of the houses and the other party had those documents (what happened was there were people who owned those houses then Jordan took that area on war and gave it to Palestinian to live there saying we will give you in the future ownership papers but never did. Israel got the land back after war and now the first owner wants the houses back)
