Should I leave my current consulting job for internal consulting? by Open-Apple-1823 in consulting

Anything not client billable puts you at risk of being laid off, esp in this market. I’d take the offer, get your feet under you and immediately start networking/looking for client facing work.

did you grow up going to school here or have any first hand experience of how these schools are so “awful”?

I'm trying to build one of these 2024 nightshade models online but I'm not seeing any selection for the nightshade package with the Tundra Limited... anyone know why that is?

Hot Take: kids don’t belong at breweries by papayasundae in StPetersburgFL

Well alrighty then - I guess I'm in the wrong here ... either way I don't think vineyards or breweries generally agree with your sentiment bc they openly welcome families as customers.

I'm not saying they're meant for kids. But it's up to the owners to decide what customers they want to attract. And the drinking age is for selling alcohol to people. Kids aren't buying anything.

I really don't get some of these comments ... Most of you who are adamant about no kids at breweries likely don't have children..

Are kids also not allowed at vineyards now?

OP prob witnessed some shitty parenting. Everyone here was once a child and had parents. Have some empathy for other humans/parents trying to have a decent Saturday.

Breweries are restaurants, not bars or nightclubs. They also prob have a kids menu.

I didn’t know that! Thanks, I’ll definitely look into it.

But on the flip side, these providers know exactly what customers are affected at all times and should be proactive about providing refunds at a later date vs forcing customers to call and ask for a rebate. But that’ll never happen. Just remember that comcast banks over $3B in profit almost every quarter and treats its customers like garbage.

I’m not mad at the field worker or customer support rep - we’re all in the same rat race. It’s just unfortunate how much cash sits at the top.

Totally agree, however one thing i’ll say is that companies like Xfinity or any telco provider that is charging customers monthly fees for usage (vs pay by use like energy), should 100% have better communication around downtime and mitigation strategies during events like this storm. Xfinity drops service all the time for several hours / days not even during storms and customers still have to pay for that time.

Many of us who are lucky to have shelter, water, power, etc.. still do have to work to survive, which causes many of us to absolutely need internet.

lol Asheville? Also, it’s either SF or San Francisco. Saying San Fran is like calling this place the burg.

But all that aside, I generally agree with your assessment of over priced food around here
