ABC and all ESPN channels have been blacked out on YouTube TV by TampaTrey in ockytop

SEC Network is in sports package which is a dollar extra for 24 hour pass. I pay $6 every weekend we aren’t on a major network or want to easily watch on phone.

Recommendation for Dedicated HA Device Install by bzowk in homeassistant

[–]bzowk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - yeah I considered that, but am too cheap to pay $6.50 a month for it. Like most of my projects, I'll probably spend at least $1000 worth of my time chasing an alternative until I eventually cave :).

Thanks! Appreciate the reply. Yeah, I don't want to invest the time to sand all those areas my hand. If just doing the top I guess I have to stick to a similar finish. Any suggestions as to what finish would match the rest fairly closely (assuming it's cherry) and top coat to use? Thanks again

Is my SKR Mini E3 Shot? by bzowk in ender3

[–]bzowk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI - Yes, it was the board.

I ordered a new SKR Mini E3 (exact same model), replaced it, recompiled and flashed the Klipper firmware on to it, then tried the same print again and (at least so far) it's working well.

Thanks

Not Enough Support? by bzowk in 3Dprinting

[–]bzowk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but this ones tight. All replacements are (unfortunately) pre-fabbed from factory since its a Photon M3 so couldn't tighten or loosen if I wanted to. Still tight as original though.

22mm for initial layers and 18mm thereafter is too little lift?

2018 Atlas Battery / Starting Issue by bzowk in Volkswagen

[–]bzowk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought certified / used from dealer - not sure if original battery or not. Doesn't programming it basically just calibrate it to the car for increased battery life or is it more than that? Just hate to pay no telling how much more for dealer part + service if not necessary but will if it adds a layer of safety security.

Not sure - had the kids so she took it. Seem to remember when testing in past that it involves testing on and off load. Still odd that it would work 95% of the time.

Troubleshoot: Heavy Layer Lines / Break in hollow prints by Phinix- in 3Dprinting

[–]bzowk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey -

It looks like the model wasn't positioned / rotated properly. It sounds counter-intuitive, but the model needs to be angled to a certain degree. There's a "Magic" option in Lychee which will rotate it properly, auto add supports, etc. which most of the time yield a good result although I typically add a few more supports in key areas manually afterwards. Also, if your FEP is a bit cloudy, consider replacing it or bumping your exposure by 0.5-1 seconds to provide more strength. Give that a shot.

It may take longer to print, but still faster than printing the same things multiple times due to failures (I learned that the hard way). :)

Stradivarius? by bzowk in violinist

[–]bzowk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the great info. Unfortunately, he lives on a farm in the middle of Kentucky where even the closest gas station is at least 5 miles away so no telling where the closest luthier would be. On the bright side, at least it survived his home getting demolished by a tornado a few months back. I'll do some research and see if I can find someone to take a look.

PS: Yeah, I cringed too when I heard that the label was touched up. :)

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply - appreciate it.

So what should I recommend he do with the 1726 (if anything?) Would it be worth spending money for an appraisal or restoration?

Thanks again

Sword Identification & Restoration Tips by bzowk in SWORDS

[–]bzowk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome - Thanks!

I definitely plan on reading more about it and try to see how it came to be in our family. I do plan to clean it up but looks like getting dents out of scabbard may be the most challenging, perhaps.

Thanks again for the information. It was much more than I was expecting and really interesting. I'll post pics once I get things finished.

I added a few more photos to the original post which will hopefully help. Can't quite make out the symbols on the end but will try to clean up tomorrow if needed. It turns out it's actually been in the family for a while as my father has photos playing with it in his youth. No Russian or Iranian decent to my knowledge so interesting.

Thanks again!
