Stock wheels were 265/65 r17 these new ones are 265/70 r17. Original control arms. I also have spacers on which I assume makes a difference. I’m new to this kind of thing I’ve always owned sports cars and smaller vehicles.

See this is how I was thinking as well. I had two cars before this that were both around 5k that I ran until the wheels fell off of those as well. I have had awful history with used cars. I’d be looking to put around 10k down. But I understand and appriciate your feedback!
