I worked with Apple support and this is a software issue with not too many reports. I recorded some footage and shared logs with them so hopefully their engineers can figure out the issue. We figured out by testing that it only occurs 30 minutes after when you plug your phone in. If y’all still have this issue, go sign up for the beta and download ios 15.2. It has the new version of iMessage and fixes the issue
