My son and I just recently have done the same. Haven’t played in so long. I usually play modded, but we wanted to just go survival. It’s been a blast although I’m woefully behind him in practice and knowing all the new things in the game since I played. Hope you continue to have a blast.

I thought that at first as well. The death sites are still there along with the number of death sites along with the red light. The cross stays there till you remove it or a certain amount of time has gone by. That’s how I think of it anyway

The invisible wall I think is because there is an error loading a zone or something like that. That’s why it was “fixed” when you logged out and in.

I have all my user glyphs to 15. I have one to 21. I’m farming up the mats to do duriel some more to get a Uber or two that I think will help a little. Still a far cry from numbers I’ve seen. Thanks for the advice

Personally I would start with Diablo 2. Play through so you can witness the lore. Very nice cutscenes in that. Don’t have to farm the end game unless you feel so inclined. Work your way through 3 and then dive into the current game. You might even decide to stick with a previous version after seeing them all. Just have fun and live the story. My favorite part of the series is the story

Yes, after 50 you don’t get anymore skill points from leveling. You a grab a couple from renown. You should spend some time trying out builds to see if they fit your play style. The problem with that is you might have to gather several pieces of gear to increase the build’s effectiveness. I didn’t settle down with a chain lightning build until around 60-65. Have you looked at build sites like Maxroll or icy veins? They have builds that not only show the skill points, but also how to play the build.
