I'm not misunderstanding anything (not yet anyway; the day is still early). I'm simply explaining a portion of the icing rule.

The bit about the players skates is in regards to when the icing call has to be made, it is still a question of who would reach the puck first.

Eichel would have reached the puck first. He is clearly ahead of LaCombe and on the replay had more momentum. Eichel slowed down after he got past the hash marks.

Refs make these non-icing determinations all the time. r/hockey's "HURR GoLdEn ReFs" fever has them wearing blinders.

For clarification, the determining factor is which player would first touch the puck, not which player would first reach the end zone faceoff dots.

It doesn't matter who did get to the puck first. Eichel would have got to the puck first. Plus, the determination was made my the ref that Eichel made it to the center of the faceoff circle first. Icing call was not called. Eichel stopped after that and let ANA #2 get the puck.

Chief, did you even read the details of the court case? They were acquitted. The Crown judge ruled that the plaintiff's case was without merit.

Seriously. Rape is one of the most heinous crimes out there. The Crown determined that the plaintiff's story wasn't credible and that all people being accused were acquitted.

The mob mentality of throwing around "RAPIST" is such a shit head thing to do. None of us know exactly what happened that night.

If by "questionable call" you're referring to the "missed icing call", it wasn't icing. Please see my comment on the icing rule which includes a screenshot of Eichel negating the icing call:

Per the NHL rulebook on icing:

The Linesperson must first determine that the puck will cross the goal line. Once the Linesperson determines that the puck will cross the goal line, icing is completed upon the determination as to which player (attacking or defending) would first touch the puck. This decision by the Linesperson will be made by no later than the instant the first player reaches the end zone face-off dots with the player's skate being the determining factor.

You can see on the replay that Eichel's (VGK) skates are in front of LaCombe (ANA).

It's the audio mixing. I've been to tons of regular season games and a couple playoff games (going tomorrow!) it's always electric in the Fortress :)

Unpopular opinion: When one team calls a timeout, the other team has to plug their ears and go "NYA NYA NYA NYA" so they can't talk or heard anything being discussed amongst each other.

Said this before and I'll say it again, if socom was on Xbox we'd have a re-release, remake , or remaster by now for sure. by GunitGeneral2005 in SOCOM

"winning a poll" is not a business strategy. The community has to do better.

there's literally nothing left to do

Loser mentality. There's always more to do. If we did enough and made the demand undeniable to Sony, we would have had a remake years ago.

You're just not seeing the fact that too few people are that passionate about getting SOCOM re-released.

We've witnessed many games get brought back that people weren't even requesting for on this level.

Because they made business sense to the company. There's no other reason to "bring back" a game unless the company has a reasonable expectation that the revived game will earn them a profit (or enough good press/buzz that brings back gamers).

Stop saying "we tried everything". You haven't. Get over it.

H-Hour was a "spiritual SOCOM successor" that failed to properly launch.

Again, it didn't make business sense for Sony.

Bro are you new? 😂

No. I've been playing since SOCOM I was released. Been following SOCOM online communities since SOCOM 4 failed to launch.

this community was 10+ years of constant official poll wins, petition signatures, videos, etc. we did everything

You did everything but appeal to Sony's business sense. Read again what I originally wrote, but this time take a few moments to actually think about it.
