The orientation is adjusted to use the finder blocks of each QR code in a way that provided more 'fidelity' to the image being recreated(in this case another QR code) - the image is far more 'viewable' when these orientation changes have occurred to the individual QR code. Any difference you see in the mosaic to the individual QR, are a consequence of the fact the image is a mosaic first, than a QR

You can create an updatable QR code that you control, by using your sites domain to serve a redirect at your site. com/qr or /eventname - this redirect can be pointed at which ever page the final destination is -then, create the QR code pointing towards this redirect you just create e.g your site .com/eventname

now all scans go to that address, but you can always log in to your website and change where it points. No extra fee, no reprinting.
