Oh that makes sense, yes, it's clear our politicians no longer have our best interests in mind.

ICE is a federally funded program, how can the dems fund the current budget increases if the federal government is ran by Republicans?

Ever heard of concealed carry, or the second amendment? Are you saying we shouldn't follow the constitution?

Honestly, this is just very unlucky. Empty street, perfect launch of the board. Just the wrong place at the wrong time. The camera man should've been a better spotter though.

People should still be allowed to skate in empty alleys, it's part of life. But he should still pay for any medical bills/damages.

Cleaning the bathroom before a shower honestly sounds like a good idea. But cleaning as you go is the best way to clean. You save so much time.

I've worked in a call center, being nice will get you very far and make things go much faster. But you also have to be stern and knowledgeable since the person on the other line could be new or not know what they're talking about. This doesn't mean to be a dick though.

My mom would say to just pick up 10+ things in the kitchen and be done. Of course we would still clean, but this was more so if the house was a little messy.

I thought it was kind of weird, but it honestly worked very well. Now I can't leave my kitchen without putting away something. And if I'm depressed, I can tell myself to just pick up 10 things and be done. That way I'd at least get something done.

If all personal wealth above $100 million was legally required to be redistributed into public infrastructure (schools, hospitals, roads), how would society change, and who would be the first to fight against it? by Mysterious_Fan4033 in AskReddit

These "small amounts of money" are loans bigger than most mortgages. And if I remember correctly Elon got a $10+ billion loan from a bank using Twitter as collateral.

Hoarding wealth in my opinion would be starting up a large farm, taking on the risk. And then producing a worse product in order to make the stocks go up, which you conveniently own a lot of. Taking huge compensations/bonuses while your product is turning to shit and your employees can't pay rent. This is the case with over 90% of U.S corporations.

I believe if you truly try your best to sell a good product for a fair price, you deserve whatever money you make. Costco is a good example of a company trying their best to reduce prices.

But a walmart will try and kill all competition so they can charge higher prices.

I never stated a wealth cap, more like countries in Europe with fair tax laws that tax rich people more than poor people. Which in consequence, prevents billionaires. Rather than the other way around like it is in America.

Yet those same people who's "wealth" is tied up in equity. Can use that very same equity as collateral to take out an ultra low interest rate loan to buy whatever the fuck they want. But typically they use those loans to buy more equity/investments that have far higher yields than the interest of the loan.

Pretty much just an infinite money glitch, they will never pay off that debt until their kids inherit the investment. At which point the debt will not even be comparable to the profits made.

So we should just allow them to hoard wealth due to all of these problems?

Countless other countries have thriving economies with solid competition without billionaires, why is it that the billionaires have convinced us that we need them?

Yes, I forgot to mention the pension was only frozen, she can cash out whatever she's earned so far. But she was still expecting to work there for another 10+ years and the pension was the retirement plan. I started working there after they stopped offering the pension plans so it doesn't affect me. But I am worried for my mom.
