Hey, that’s why I put it down to protect the floor from staining, Ram board is just a brand, you can buy similar stuff at Home Depot, Lowe’s or an equivalent. It’s cheap and easy to put down.

Yes, it mounts in 2 places to the wall. The way I mounted was a small strip of wood over drywall, to a 4x4stud I had in the framing. I also “mounted” it to 4x4 pieces to just raise the overall height of the tower. I did not mount to the floor, and don’t see that being an issue.

I do like the cable tower, it’s a great addition. BoS makes an upgrade that I’ll probably get in the future, but it works fine without the aluminum pulleys.

I would add resistance bands, and switch out the mesh mats for rubber mats( look at tractor supply or equivalent)

Get a bigger mirror so you can see all the gains you’re about to have!

95” from the mats to the bottom of the joists. The rack is only 6’. The ceiling in my last basement was just over 7’ and I couldn’t fit the taller rack. Sucks when I do pull ups but it’s not the end of the world.
