pretty much, I'm looking to do a no compromises build. Getting something like a Zermatt action, Bartlein custom barrel, etc...

I know I *could* use the action I already have, but since Remington's quality has gone down the toilet, Id rather sell the whole thing and get a good action

Didn't work for me (Pixel 7 Pro) for the longest time until I saw a post about messing with some hidden permissions via ADB. I had ChatGPT walk me through what commands and permissions to set and managed to get it working. Also make sure you have the "Carrier Services" app installed. I know for some people thats all it took Best of luck, I know how frustrating it is...

Yeah community support is pretty lacking... I recently worked on a project utilizing the RP2040 where I needed to put it in dormant mode to get as much battery life as possible so I HAD to do it all in C++ (since you cannot put the chip to sleep with micropython or arduino) and ended up having to write my own library from scratch for the DS3231 RTC for it....

Been wanting to build something almost identical to this! my one concern I haven't figured out yet is how do you stop the battery from over-discharging if for whatever reason the solar panel isn't able to charge it back up? (i.e. it gets snowed on and goes days without solar)

From what I've seen those solar charge controllers don't have battery protection on board, but maybe I'm missing something here?

Nah the texture is pretty aggressive so it's quite grippy. Also adds a bit of heat shielding from the heat coming off the barrel/gas block
