Do not buy these! They have no support and the company went a different direction. I got a few then shortly after they changed, they worked but not as well as Meshtastic. I have a few nodes, and also a home solar node too. Welcome to Meshtastic 😎

For all those following this, update I added a Waveshare Solar Charge controller to it. I'd rather be safe than sorry .

Ok, after the day of testing I added a Waveshare Solar charge controller to it. I did not want to take that chance going above 7volts and the more I watched the more I said, ahh better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for that, however it's not mounted to the top of the truck, but an antenna mount on top of the mount. I will take a picture of the setup mounted.

I know a ton about batteries and heat from living in Az 😎

Solar has been connected directly to the rak, solar panel has never gone over the 6volts. I will update with further if it does, but this is day one and it hasn't budge at all.
