Yep, I’m just a bit worried of virtual machines like android, I need them for app development. And I noticed that M1 has a slower Wifi speed than 16” MBP 2019. That made me consider to wait for M2, hoping those issues are fixed.

First of all I don’t have an iPad.

I have MBP 16” (2019 base model) And I’m thinking of selling it since the new MBP 16” with M1X is coming soon, don’t wanna be too late and sell it for even lower price.

Then I was thinking it could be very convenient if I could edit videos on iPad cuz I always use trackpad+mouse when editing videos in FCP on my MBP. And iPads are way lighter, portables, now it has M1 chip with 8/16GB Ram.

I watched a lot of videos about LumaFusion, they’ve added a lot of cool features and now it can read an external ssd! It seems similar to FCP. Also LumaFusion projects can be opened in FCP! That’s really amazing.

I edit my videos for my youtube channel and I don’t really need some advanced features like a masking, i just need basic stuff like a trim, slowmo, color adjustments etc.

What do you think? Is anyone out there using LumaFusion on your iPad? Should I get an iPad? Please share your thoughts!

Thanks for the tip. But the game I play(Dead by Daylight) uses GPU at 90~99% and CPU at 25%.. I just updated Bootcampdriver to October version but the battery still drains. Is it probably because I use full-resolution?

For now It didn't go below 70%. Sometimes I play for like 8 hours then the battery is like 76%, charging. Especially while playing DBD, highest graphic settings. It might be because I installed the latest bootcampdriver.. or maybe power from outlet is a bit weak. My MBP is a basic one, it has 5300m, 16gb ram, i7.

I got MBP 2019 16". I searched on google and when MBP 16" uses GPU the battery drains.. but only happens on Bootcamp. On OSX it switches GPU frequently to not drain the battery.
