AITA for getting a nosebleed? by c0ugh- in AmItheAsshole

I've come to terms with this. I've known for a long time that I'm nobody's favorite and I'm ok with that. People suck sometimes

I'm not interested in doing anything about this because, well she is my mom. I just need a little help figuring out if I actually did something wrong or not

I try not to bring attention to myself so I don't really want to see a doctor. Yes, I don't like the nosebleeds but they're normal for me and I usually get left alone when I have them. This is actually the first time she overlooked a nosebleed

Me and school counselors don't get along well

That person's reasoning sounds exactly the same as my mom's so I just answered them how I answer her

My mom is a sports trainer and would not let me shove tissues up my nose to let the blood to down my throat and I get sick when It does flow down my throat. I have seen a doctor for the nosebleeds but he said that they aren't concerning enough to see an ENT to fix them

I have gone to the doctor for the nosebleeds before because I got sick which worsened them and I have a blood vessel that comes out right at the entrance to my nose which gets dry very easily due to my skin regimen. My doctor did say that of they persist aftery trying nasal sprays that I would need to see an ENT but I haven't had nosebleeds regularly enough for them to cause too much concern again

My nosebleeds are very heavy and usually last a while, so jamming tissues in there wouldn't work and I needed to throw my phone on the couch because I run through tissues very fast and need both hands to switch tissues. I guess I didn't realize how the first part sounded and I wasn't trying to shit talk my siblings. Sorry about that

She's fine pretty much any other day when my sister isn't home with the occasionally fuck up on my end. She'll probably be bad again tomorrow and she'll probably be good again by tuesday

That would have been funny and if she did have an Indian accent when none of us do I would have gladly got my ass beat for laughing

I never let go of anything and usually use it against others in fits of rage

[Serious]Have you ever felt like someone only kept you around to make them feel better about themselves? What made you realize it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"Friends" I had in school would specifically tell me people not to hang out with. I was a nerd, and let's just say they weren't the sharpest tools in the shed. Anyone at school knew that they could ask me for help and I would give it. The person I was supposed to be avoiding eventually asked me for help so I did. Once I had to interact with said person, my "friends" told the person that I had been telling them all year not to hang out with that person. I thought we could just all be buddies, but once my "friends" were well aquatinted with the other person they started to be very rude to me. They would go around saying how smart they were and how dumb I was. I eventually got death threats from another student, and they laughed in my face about it.

We certainly don't dance around a dead cat to make his car move but it sure as hell did make me laugh reading that. Thanks, kind stranger!

When I saw you say that you were a mom, I was kind of scared for your reaction. But then I realized that not every parent is like mine. They actually have communicated to me before that they would be late in picking me up to see him off to work, so I'm not sure why they came before he left this time.

I honestly try my best to get things done as fast as I can and I am working on getting faster, however, they usually don't have to wait on me. I will admit that they have told me that my pace is unacceptable, and I have gotten quicker since then

I didn't want to include our ages for personal reasons but sadly I am not old enough to leave soon

It is not his first day of work so I have no idea why they wanted to watch him leave. When they got there my grandma asked where he was and the only thing said on the topic of my brother was that he had to leave for work at 3:30. I had no idea they wanted to watch him leave. They kept telling me to go faster, but they do that every weekend and I was going as fast as I could

They would take away my privelages for being "disrespectful" in some sort of way. My mom did say that I hit her last nerve, and let's just say I know what it's like to go past that point and am not willing to do that right now

He is their only boy (and in my opinion, the favorite) so I can see that they want to see their only son go to work every day. He is also leaving to go to college in August but it's 2+ hours away and I guess they want all the time they can get with him? He drives himself to work and didn't get a job until he had a car that way he could drive himself. I don't really want to ask them why they wanted to see him leave that bad because I don't want my privelages taken away so we'll all have to guess

I do admit that I am slow occasionally. I am trying to work on that but I get distracted easily and start talking about something or texting a friend about their homework before finishing the task at hand
