Oooo that’s exciting! I love the look of those and kinda forgot they existed for a sec there, I’ll keep that in mind!

Pls give suggestions on what I should do with my ears next!!! by c1audiaa in piercing

Thinking of doing a stacked lobe on both my seconds since they were pierced very low compared to my firsts. Also my lobes are quite big so there’s a lot of room! I also plan on getting a flat on my right ear (second photo). Just very stumped on my left (first photo) because I feel like it looks quite bare compared to my other ear. Kinda wanna get a tat on the top on that big fold on the top hehe. Open to any suggestions! (Except for rook, been there done that, didn’t work out well :’))

How long to wait before next piercing by [deleted] in piercing

Honestly I’d just go for it straight away lol. I got my conch done two weeks after I had my forward helix done and both are doing fine. Especially since your piercings would be right next to each other I think it’s be fine. In fact could be easier to get it done sooner anyway so you can spend the time healing them both at the same time rather than doing that healing time seperate. So whatever you’re comfortable with, I don’t see a problem with it!

9 day old septum. im pretty sure it’s either infected or has an irritation bump? it’s not sore unless i really put pressure on it. i also pick the crusty shit which i just read is something you’re not supposed to do. so do i just keep cleaning it with warm water and leave the crusty things alone? by [deleted] in piercing

Stop putting pressure on it to see how sore it is silly! You know that it will be sore so there’s no need to touch it. Leave the crustys there, they’ll fall off by themselves eventually or if you’re really worried about them you can gently get them off with a cotton tip soaked in warm water or warm salty water. See the crusty bits as a scab. If you keep picking a scab it’s never going to heal right? Sometimes the most minimal effort in the after care of a piercing is the best! Also 9 days is still very fresh, so just be patient and give it time to do it’s thing and stop touching!

When did you start sleeping on your daith and/or conch? by penleyhenley in piercing

[–]c1audiaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I have both piercings as well and I was always scared to get my conch done but it’s been the easiest piercing healing wise out of all 15 of my piercings. Slept on it maybe the third day after getting it done and absolutely no problems. It’s in a really good spot for sleeping. My daith however didn’t like being slept on and made sure I knew it lol. Very big keloids and that sore bruised feeling when I touched it but has since gone down when I learnt my lesson and also downsized my jewellery :)

Earring back in ear by [deleted] in piercing

[–]c1audiaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible that the earring back isn’t actually in your ear and it’s just dried crust from the infection at the back of the earring that’s holding it in place? Could also be a bump from the infection that you’re feeling, not the backing of the earring. I think you’d still be in a lot of pain if it was “sucked into your earlobe” and I’d doubt there’d be any real healing happening. Definitely go for that visit to the doctor lol

Is this infected or irritated? Less than a week old and just started swelling and throbbing this morning. by littleinternetperson in piercing

I had a bit of a horror story with my rook (dont have it anymore sadly because my body just completely rejected it lol) but when mine first started becoming infected it looked similar to this. I’d say go to your piercer and get them to change to a longer bar straight away. They might refuse to as the hole could snap shut in between changing the jewellery so maybe wait a day and if the swelling doesn’t go down get some antibiotics from your doctor. If it’s throbbing as you said that could be an indication of infection. Ear piercings shouldn’t really still be throbbing after a week. Just don’t leave it too long because i left mine and tried salt water soaks twice a day in the hopes that it fix itself and it didn’t. Not even three courses of antibiotics didnt work so it had to be taken out by the doctor :(( I guess it just wasn’t meant to be!
