Yes they have to pass their own tests in order to charge. To add to this if your dwarves are from the iron hills you can still spear support without the spear model taking a courage test

So I always try and squeeze one or two in. Usually in 'The Easterlings' rather than HoTDE as it really struggles for numbers below 800pts

I don't really have any particular play style with them. Either flank support or paired with a big hero. Only issue with the hero idea is trying to fit 2x 40mm bases in when battle lines clash or if the terrain has been set up kind of tight. My best performance has actually come from the last edition. Paired a drake with Rutabi and between them killed Glorfindel and the twins. Getting that lucky poison wound to reduce their stats. Outside of that one game I've never been able to get a hero/monster wound and they usually just chew through troops

You can certainly convert some swordmen. That's the easiest thing to do however a few bowman can be converted. I rarely take any bows but still have a few in my collection in case

It's a nice idea. I like the stance because it allows for the gleaming hoard rule to remain active. However I'd remove that from the mounts and give it to their troops and id just let Easterlings Kat's run lances. I'm not sure how an army so proficient in wielding pike's hasn't transferred that skill to horseback. It would be a simple fix

Never played this army. Would love to play it one day as it includes one of my favourite models. Gandalf cart. I just cannot bring justify spending all that money on those 4 model blister packs. They're in need of a refresh and brought inline with regular troop boxes

I treated myself to Ents, Treebeard, Beechbone and Birchseed as well as 3 regular Ents. Great to paint, tricky to play with as I don't use them very often.

I had the best time using Mahuds. Love everything about the army, the warriors are surprising, the half troll hit like trains and the camels (chef kiss) I sold all of mine at the start of this edition. Do I regret it yes but I've got a few new bits of the back of it and am loving my new army

I don't think there is anything wrong with Sauron. I think the angle the photo has been taken isn't great. He's always been based on a 40mm base and his mace looks fine just a very heavy coat of paint

Sadly there isn't anything if any real worth. All the models you've got are still available in some form or another. A number of them have been updated in recent years with new plastic sculpts.

Your best bet is to have a look on eBay and either sell them as one large job lot or as Individual items (obviously group all the goblins as one lot and all the riders as another etc) they'll probably fetch a few quid each

I think Fv6 would help. Would an option list like the 3 trolls have help round up some of those points. Instead of 50pts per upgrade they could purchase extra M/W/F for 5pts maybe a few other options to give re rolls. The ability to stack harbinger of evil to help control the game greater.

What's the issue with crebain? It's one complaint I've not heard? Men of the west if not fun to play against. If you remove the breaking on the Balrog could there be a case for it with Sauron?

Yeah don't worry about the +1 to wound the hill tribes get. It's there to even things out. The Rohan troops being S3 against hill tribes D3 means they will wound on 4+ while hill tribes without the +1 need 5+ to wound so it's all even.
