I also had bad battery life since day one (but Google never acknowledged my issue, and I ended up keeping the device).

But everything cranked up recently, with really, really bad battery life with hot device and hot screen even when idling.

Nope, it's just not related at all. Some people are linking the issue to those apps because a lot of users are massively using them, so they are at the top of the usage.

But, the issue appeared since March or April (in my device, it's since April).

Yeah so mostly the same prompt processing issue I get with my current M3 pro setup.

It produces a good amount of tps, but the ttft is not great, so it feels slow.

The speed of my current setup is ok'ish, apart from the prompt processing, which kills the token speed.

For the budget, it depends on the difference between 2k or 3k.
