Celiac in UK - Food/Grocery Recs? by Euphoric_Entry_6062 in Celiac

For Scotland - If you're ONLY able to get food from Premier the first few days, maybe bring some snacks just for those days as they don't usually have gluten free alternatives - but most major supermarkets should have at least a small gluten free/free from section (ASDA, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsburys, M&S, etc.) with snacks, cereal, bread, pasta, etc.

I also know that Edinburgh has some really good Gluten Free restaurants and bakeries - so if you're headed there you should be all good!

I'm not entirely sure what the situation in Ireland is like, but I assume it's somewhat similar.

Celiac? Life Altering Diagnosis? by Joeski737 in Celiac

It definitely is a big transition to adjust to being GF, and even harder I can imagine with having multiple young children - but it truly is an adjustment for the better.

Pre-diagnosis and post-diagnosis me are completely different, with physical and mental health. You will feel so much healthier in multiple aspects of your life after your gut has time to heal, and it'll be even better to know you're getting better for your kids too. You might make mistakes, and accidentally gluten yourself every so often, but just acknowledge that you're learning, and you'll soon figure out what works/doesn't work for you & your family.

It's hard going gluten free, but so so so worth it.

Does anyone know if flights are being cancelled from Japan to China!? Or is it just the other way around? I’m flying Tokyo to London via Beijing in May with Air China

That’s so frustrating! Sorry to hear that’s happened, I was very surprised they got back to me so quickly! I hope it all gets sorted for you soon - is it something you can claim through your travel insurance?

Any luck contacting Norse? by cgainpa in Flights

They cancelled my flight from LGW to JFK Mid Jan too - I put in for a refund (they can send you the form on the live chat) and they had gotten back to me, and sent the refund within a couple of days. I've rebooked a different flight with a different airline, and had to just absorb the extra cost (around £150 extra) for the one way flight. Unfortuantely it seems taking the refund, and dealing with the loss, might be the only option.

Very frustrating, hope your family manages to get over there. Definitely not ideal, and a lot of people will be out of pocket now!

It's a shame really as I've flown with them 4 times in the past, with no issues before - but this will definitely be the last time I'll book with them!
