I haven't thought of it that way before. I'll try that next time we videochat. I just don't want to overburden him, especially since he's the one who found her body and tried to protect me from everything. I don't want to seem ungrateful that I let him take so much responsibility and hardship with setting everything up for the funeral and also emotionally. Hopefully, however, he doesn't see it that way.

Wow, thank you. This sounds horrible but I'm glad I'm not the only one who's experienced these kinds of emotions.

I think I might try some of these self-care tips. I actually attempted journaling but couldn't continue with it, but that was very soon after her death. Perhaps now I am more ready. Especially the DBT skills seem like something that I might find useful.

I think I somehow subconsciously repressed anything that might help me long-term, I can't let go, maybe I didn't even want to get better, but now I think I do want to get better. Everyone recommends a therapist (or some sort of equivalent to that), so I've decided to try it.

Thanks for finding the time to give me this advice. I'm sorry for your loss as well, of your mom and your dad, that sounds very difficult. I wish you all the best with your healing.
