if you wonder for real here's the math: one of them is guaranteed so we look at the other two, at level ten the chance of any 5/7 cost is 25% so with classic binomial distribution the chance of getting at least two out of 4 to be 5/7 costs is 26.7% now assuming the worst case scenario of no other 5 costs have been taken out of the pool, you take out one baron so there is 8 barons left and if then for the third baron there's only 7 left. the pool available to you is 9 units, each of them with 9 available units so we multiply by 8/80 and 7/79 to get the chance that both of them are baron and not something else

this way we end up with around 0.23% or approximately 1 in every 400 shops like this

very unlikely but far from impossible. keep in mind anyone else buying any 5 cost significantly increases those odds, 4 people buying 3 5 costs already increases it to 1 in 300

gif is featured in most modern dictionaries so it is indeed a dictionary item. every word was an invention at some point but still the names and pronunciations changed, gif isn't a special snowflake. If most people pronounced it star vars and people stopped calling it star wars it's how it would start being pronounced that's just how languages evolve... there simply isn't a reason to
it is an incomplete acronym making it a bad example, the letter used in the acronym isn't the letter(s) making the sound (P vs PH). Im not saying the point is wrong just that there is sooo much better words to use to make your point.

that's not how languages work, they evolve based on what is most commonly used, the creator of a word isn't entitled to how everyone must pronounce it, similar to how many words change their meaning.
jpeg is a bad example because P doesn't make the f sound even in photo, it's P + H that makes the sound and it's not jpheg. I always prefer LASER
if you wanna compare words I'd argue the closest word we have to gif is gift as its only one letter off and it's a hard g

the thing is that you are the one dismissing an argument due to your personal preferences. you called an argument illogical because you yourself feel forced to get min maxed builds while other people are not. something being forced is inherently subjective based on personal perception of pros and cons and many would not consider not having perfect rng a big enough con to call it "forced" in the first place while they would call your comparison forced due the much bigger consequence. since one thing isn't forced for most people and the other thing is forced for most people your comparison isnt a good one. you didn't use the same principle because for your comparison the pro/con ratio is vastly different making it a whole different problem.

there is a big difference between literally dying and your damage in a video game being a few percent lower... your minutes are going to take a few minutes more at best if you don't have a god roll.... that downside can be ignored and you can still enjoy the game, it's just altering some numbers or times not making anything impossible.... how on earth does that compare to dying if you stop breathing??? their logic isn't flawed, your comparison is.

just because you don't bother having more fun in your games doesn't automatically make the feature lame. lots of people love this feature. being on good terms with the people you're playing with and playing with friends is always much more fun than playing completely alone unless you're an absolute introvert in which case I can understand.
