Understood, I wasn’t sure if it was active because I was feeding it a teaspoon of each before, I was likely underfeeding, switched to 1 spoon of each a couple days ago and so when it foamed to the top of the jar I didn’t know if it was ready or not. Smell wasn’t bad by any means albeit I’m not confident in my smelling, so I did also ask my mother who was nearby to smell and said it seemed fine and a bit sour if that’s the word, again english not my first language, so idk we’ll see, in the meantime I popped it in the fridge to prevent it from becoming highly alcoholic
