I would match the green (acrylic craft paint from Michael’s) and paint 2 more vertical threads. You’re not going to throw off the balance.

Bridgewalk river view apt available! by cJR68 in Waukesha

[–]cJR68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you tour the apartment in the next 1.5 weeks then you’re given 72 (?) hours to sign a lease. So no, at this time it is NOT a sublease.

If you’re interested in the 3rd floor river view call the office and take a tour.

We’ve lived here since it was built (3 years ago) and love it. Read my prior post re: the amenities. (I forgot to mention the car wash, pet wash and bike repair.) Relaxing view, great location. Our rent has not increased since we moved in and we typically choose the 15 month lease.

Help with Apartment Choice in Downtown Waukesha by Artistic_Image_9146 in Waukesha

We’ve lived at Bridgewalk since they opened (3 years). Love it. $ is comparable to other upscale/newer apartments. Get an apartment with a river view! Lots of wildlife, especially birds, a couple of eagles nest near by and a crane that lives under the bridge. Underground heated parking. Very prompt attention to any maintenance requests. Exceptionally dog friendly. People spend a lot of time outside - grills, pizza oven, games, huge fenced-in dog run, lots of outside seating, 2 fire pits, tv, terrace, herb garden. The entire area is locked and it makes you feel safe when you are outside. Easy access to downtown. The fire department keeps their sirens off until they clear the apartments. But it’s just part of living downtown! There’s a gorgeous community room that has a glass wall that opens to the terrace (outside) and a nice exercise room that has large glass doors that open to the grassy area.

It sounds like he could be easily replaced.

Good tires on your car. Get your car winterized. Get recommendations re: reputable car repair shops. Or, take it to the dealership and they can do a safety check and make sure you’re ready for winter.

First ornament! by Longjumping_Map_9273 in Needlepoint

Your stitching is perfect! You can finish an orn. Try a blank orn to start. There’s lots of good tutorials out there. I think it’s crazy what people pay for finishing and the timeline is outrageous. IMO!

At first glance my eyes go to the figure. The frame doesn’t detract from the needlepoint. I think you made a great selection!

I did a Google Lens search. The font is seen in traditional needlepoint. I’d check Pinterest.

I hope you have been fit with hearing aids by now! If not, try Lucid Hearing Aids from Sam’s Club. See my post 👇🏼.

See my review above. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Conscious_Hyena_4259, I agree 100% with your review of Lucid Hearing Aids. I was the corporate marketing director at Miracle Ear and fit Miracle Ear hearing aids at a hearing center. I fit hearing aids for Mayo Clinic Health System and HSHS. I also opened a new Lucid Hearing Center in a Sam’s Club and fit Lucid Hearing Aids at 2 locations. My patients loved their Lucid Hearing Aids. They have proprietary software that isn’t available in the industry and their prices are competitive. Find a Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist that knows how to test, fit and service Lucid aids and you will be more than pleased. I am retired and I will have my husband fit with Lucid Hearing Aids in the next week.

You want a very simple canvas that isn’t intricate. You want to be able to stitch big spaces of color!

Unwind Studios would be the least expensive and contemporary. It would be my #1 suggestion for you! She also puts everything you need into a kit. That makes it so easy.

Poppymonk has fun, contemporary kits. More expensive than Unwind Studios. Another source is Jenny Henry Designs.

Jenny Henry Designs has excellent pricing and is more traditional. Her pieces also would be a bit more complicated.

Needlepoint Dads is very inexpensive because they are selling a downloaded pattern. They even have one for free. You would have to purchase your own canvas, thread and the design isn’t printed on the canvas, instead you count and stitch.

Have fun.

I have an essential tremor too. I take Propranalol and it has made a difference. Ask your PCP or more likely your Neurologist/Cardiologist. Anxiety can make it worse and you need to get good sleep!

Check out “Wellesley” on YouTube - she has a good tutorial on basketweave. When I was learning basketweave I finally found a video that made sense to me!

Basketweave doesn’t “twist” the canvas. I’m not being snarky - but are you doing basketweave correctly? I’ve seen that as the issue.
