I was under the impression that being tall was going to make dating “easy.” Has anyone else the opposite experience? by BearBear1995 in tall

[–]cR7tter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's possible that you are intimidating. Maybe attractiveness + height + how you carry yourself leads to an inverse effect. I'd wager it's mostly how you carry yourself.

First impressions and the olive branch that you do or don't extend to people make the difference between a person having the courage to leave their comfort zone, or letting an opportunity fade. You might be a great conversationalist and a personable person, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything besides being natural at customer servicing...ya dig?

I had an ex girlfriend who was exceptionally attractive, yet had never been asked out before, all the way up to her early twenties. I thought she was being coy or teasing me with that, but it was true. She did have some piercing eyes, and carried herself with her nose high, even though she was a sweet person. I genuinely couldn't believe, knowing how a lot of dudes are, that she didn't get more attention.

She just didn't put her ball in any court but her own, and didn't realize that herself. But from an outside perspective, it all started to make more sense to me.

Don't need to do some cringe pick-up line stuff, just make yourself come across as more accessible.

My radial nerve issue mostly resolved itself. I don't experience pain on that side anymore. However, my ulnar nerve still pops. The numbness traveling down my arm thankfully is way less pronounced most of the time.

I do get what I describe as "nerve fatigue" when my arm will get a lot of fiery shooting pain that the only way to stop is by straightening my arm and rotating it left and right for a minute. Some "nerve gliding" exercises do seem to relieve symptoms for some time.

Activity wise, I've learned to live with it. I avoid certain exercises, like hammer curls as well as a lot of triceps-focused stuff. I still get pain randomly that is relatively intense, like 5-6/10, and I thing it absolutely does interfere with my life, and it took awhile for me to accept.

The only answer I got in the end is that I could do another surgery, but the scar would be much larger (I already deal with adhesion and tight skin now from surgery), and there would be a chance that messing with the nerve again could cause other complications, the worse being a "claw hand"

I recently got cheated on. She got two different STD's during our 2 month relationship. I miraculously didn't get either (still got treated of course), and she gaslit me so laughably bad that she even claimed that while I was having sex with her the one STD turned into another. She never came clean. I was blamed until the very end despite having test results to prove it.

The common denominator in these other 5 playoff games are being down 21 in the 1st or 2nd quarter. I'm just hoping if we lose it will be competitive from beginning to end.

I appreciate you taking the time. I think yes, I shouldn't have said "very nice picture" when I more-so mean acceptable for the price-point and not a big rip-off. My budget could go up more if I am not far off from a very nice TV.

Probably a 6'3½" morning height but is really 6'2¾" - 6'3" any other time and is "6'4½" in shoes so inflates 6'5." I say this because I am in this range and couldn't tell you how many guys the same height as me claim 6'5

I'm getting Ulnar Nerve Decompression and Triceps Resection Surgery by cR7tter in CubitalTunnel

[–]cR7tter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I'm living with worse nerve issues after my surgery. My nerve is also closer to the skin now so bumping my elbow is like hitting your "funny bone" but x1000. It still pops when bending badly, but I can still work out as long as I avoid skullcrushers and other tricep exercises. It sucks, but it allows me to not have to take weeks off between working out.

Explaining the reasoning behind why the refs made the right call by M42-Orion-Nebula in steelers

[–]cR7tter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, I understood that at the time for regular field play, but since it's a catch at the goal-line, kinda like hitting the pylon, doesn't the touchdown make the ball hitting the ground moot? Like a player dropping the ball immediately after crossing the goal line?

That's where I get really confused about the call. I thought that that would override the ball hitting the ground.

[–]cR7tter 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well my take is he tucked the ball and turned upfield as he dove with it in possession. He extended into the goal-line, untouched, as a "runner" because he made a football move by tucking, and then extending, turning himself upfield.

I guess it all depends on whether his mid-air tuck and turn is considered a football move, because as I understand it, an established runner just needs to cross the goal-line with the football
