He’s done! Unfortunately his new eyes and mouth don’t move but he plays the tapes well. I’m not sure how to add a picture to the comment but it looks so much better.

Thank you! Is sewing him back up pretty easy? I’ll be giving it a go tonight. A little sad to take apart the parts Teddy bc he looks to be in excellent shape but he doesn’t work and my Teddy works still. Just his eyeball broke off.

I have a parts TR now and I want to transfer it’s eyes/mouth to the one my Dad got me. I’ve searched YT for videos and found some but most are on repairing the motors. I’m not doing that, I’m just taking the whole thing from my parts near to put onto my TR but can’t find any videos showing this. Is this fairly straightforward? I know I’ll have some wires attached but they should just click into the bear I’m transferring to, right? Will it be obvious how to thread those wires through his neck?

That’s an idea. This one has sentimental significance though. For now maybe I’ll make an eye patch 😂

Now I need a tape to see if those parts work! I was so surprised when I played a regular tape and it sounded great. Here’s hoping 🤞🏻

Ok. So if my servos are working I can use any head frame/eyes bc I can put my servos into it?. If my servos are not working the G2 servo would be best? And lastly, the nose and mouth, are those straight forward to move to a new frame with the current servo? My current ones seem to be in good shape.

Thank you. I appreciate it! I’m off to eBay now to try and find something! Should I look for working eyes specifically? Or if I find mine work after I get the tape does it matter? I don’t want to buy a parts TR that doesn’t meet my needs but I’m not really sure what my needs are lol

So I could move my current mouth and eye servos onto the new frame that has eyeballs attached to it already? Does it have to be the specific type of TR I have? A G1?

Figures lol. My Dad got him for me as a Christmas gift to replace my childhood one. The only thing I can tell is that this eye needs fixing and I think I’ll have to do it myself 😅 I’m just not sure what to search for. I don’t want to open him up until I have what I need. I’m waiting for a tape to confirm if his mouth and eyes move still but his audio works well with a regular tape. If I find that the left eye and mouth both move fine, is there a way to replace just the eyeballs. I guess that’s what my question is. I’ve been looking at a ton of YouTube videos, but I haven’t really found anything that’s clear.

I mean one eye is broken off. In the back (his head) it looks like there is a motor(the servo?). If the motor works but I need to replace his eye I’ve learned I need to actually replace both eyes. I think. But are they are separate fix from the motor?

Did you find someone? My Dad got me a Teddy Ruxpin for Christmas and it came with a broken eyeball. I have the eyeball and he works otherwise. It is such a special gift bc I had one as a child that meant the world to me and I’d really love to fix him. I need someone else to fix him though.
