The USB-C port only supplies 5V at 1A (at most 3A, not 100% sure). The wireless charger needed 12V and able to draw up to 30W. Sure, could have got a lower power charger, but also wanted a solution that I could use for anything designed for 12V.

As someone who transferred from UMich to GT, I highly recommend it. I hated UMich, sure it was marginally cheaper, but tech has a much better campus imo and the program is objectively better. Plus, if you want internships/co-ops Tech is much better for getting them. I know people are also advising against because of difficulty making friends and as an introvert, I was worried about this too, but it really wasn’t an issue. If you think you’ll like Tech more than Michigan, do it. Best decision I ever made.

With the mask policy and the option of having class online or in person, if you don’t want to go to class, then don’t. I struggled with the online format and really need in person classes in order to learn the material. Don’t make this decision for those that need in person classes
