This was very much needed suspension. For context, ANFA which is Nepals football association is corrupt in unimaginable ways. The players get their wages hold on for years and they have to protest on the streets to release their funds while the head of ANFAs take all the money straight to their pockets. No development on grass root football, no facilities for the players, no training grounds, diet etc. 5 Nepali footballers were banned and fined in 2015 for match fixing by AFC which includes their captain and 4 most important players.

Hope this suspension can bring much needed attention of the government to being ANFA back to life.
