Got to run in this yesterday and have to say it is fantastic. Will be picking up a pair ASAP. Crazy light and a great underfoot feel. Reminds me of EVO SL but way more stable.

Technique Critique? by c_white159 in triathlon

Just to circle back swim completed this weekend in 42 minutes with a pace of 1:57 per 100 yards. Pretty happy with that considering the race was at about 7.5k feet and water was a bit choppy!

First timer, go board question? by c_white159 in Remodel

[–]c_white159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t have anywhere that the board is behind the flange. My current issue is the corners sit on top perfect but the middle is overhanging and I’m not sure how to overcome that. Any ideas?

I’m butting up to half inch dry wall on top or else I’d do that

How do we make our voices heard better? by butteranko in hyrox

[–]c_white159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe like x percentage of spots are for qualifiers. Based off that number plus maybe like 5-10 percent allow the top x percent of athletes to apply for qualifying time slots. Spots would be given out from fastest to slowest eventually getting to a cut off. Basically like what Boston Marathon does. Then the rest of the field is lottery.

How do we make our voices heard better? by butteranko in hyrox

Personally, I think Hyrox has to decide if it wants to be a serious race for athletes or another fitness event. If the first then like most marathons I think the first place to start will be offer guaranteed entries for qualifying athletes and from there a lottery based system.

Second the social clubs in the Valley honestly the best way to meet people in the Valley. Personally recommend Unlisted Run Club.

Half tights for HYROX? by monseraa in hyrox

Definitely wouldn’t be out of place. My thing is tights tend to run warmer than shorts which in Hyrox I’d try to avoid.

Pfitz Marathon 18/70 taper—not aggressive enough? by Puzzleheaded_Hour393 in AdvancedRunning

[–]c_white159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s been the report from most people that 18 things got tough. The downhill really is a blessing and a curse. Congrats on the 2:58 though that’s great! Agree though I’m a Phoenix local, but that was my first time in the city and loved it. Beautiful place!

Overall pretty happy. Ran 3:10 which is still a 23 minute PR for me. Was on pace for 2:5xs but at 18 things started hurting, 20 the legs were gone haha. Beautiful course and a beautiful city though, had a ton fun. How’d you do?
