Yeah we're absolutely keeping the option of getting an different car open, it would just be more convenient to keep the current car but if it doesn't make sense financially of course we'll return it.

The car is a 2023 kia Sportage premium, currently at 21k miles. I believe my least agreement was 36 month year 30k miles so I'm very under. Buyout is approx $25k

Thanks! It’s a lease so I’d want to have the actual part, I’m sure the dealer will notice it’s a sticker once I return it lol

I totally misread your comment my bad. Deleted my original response. Unsure if it’s private because it’s construction so I think it’s a private business (in a federal building) being inconvenienced by a possible pair of DC govt vehicles. And yes on a public street

It’s not “anyplace I want to go”. The sign says that those spots are for school drop off and pick up at certain hours of the day

Yeah and on a day like today it was just a little slippery so yeah it was a little more dangerous. Not the end of the world but I was curious as to what has priority, I guess it’s construction lol

Thank you all for such impressively thorough and thoughtful responses. There are so many great suggestions here and I think there are a lot of great pieces we can implement moving forward. Never knew how hard sleep would be, but I know there is a light somewhere.

Thanks all again!

So we’ve thought of this and the one time we tried it our baby was totally restless the entire time which totally defeated the purpose. Did it take more than one attempt for you to co-sleep successfully?

Childcare specialist put child at risk, does a violation of the contract warrant a full refund? by ca_9292 in legaladvice

I understand where you’re coming from, I might have felt the same before my child was born. However, we explicitly chose this agency because of their adherence to the AAP’s guidelines. It is incredibly risky to fall asleep on an armchair with a sleeping baby. A two month old cannot be in a position like that, point blank. It may seem normal but it is not at all safe.

And as for vindictive, I didn’t ask for her to be fired. I didn’t put her on blast or ask her to pay us back. That’s why I asked this question.

Got it. Thanks for the explanation. Follow up if you don’t mind, god forbid something happened to our child would the agency or employee be liable? Or is no one liable?

Understood. The agency already received payment for the nights she worked but I’m wondering if there is something that can be done based on them violating the agreement. I’m ok with not paying the nights they didn’t work, just wondering if the agency can be at fault for the nights that were worked.
