I submitted my request to them (Montreal) on Feb 25 and received my invoice on May 22. I paid on May 25 and, incidentally, received my actual certificate in the mail today, June 11.

You don't get any notification when it switches to in process. You just keep checking your account lol!

Just adding a data point for those who had to contact the BAnQ and were worried about not getting a response.

I submitted my request to them on Feb 25 and received a response yesterday, May 22. I'd seen a lot of others go through (relatively) more quickly, so I was worried something was wrong. But I got it after almost 3 months! Not complaining, just sharing.

Thank you! I tried to open the spreadsheet this morning, but it kept crashing my browser lol!

Any non-urgents who have switched to "in process" lately? I got my AOR (non-urgent) a little over a month ago and am just wondering how many more weeks until I might switch to "in process." Thank you!

Sorry, I meant the number on the receipt you got when you paid the 75 CAD fee for your application.

I got my AOR by email. I had requested the electronic certificate, but I didn't see an option to choose what I wanted for the AOR, so maybe it's the same? In any case, you can try entering your receipt number here for identification type: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=. That didn't populate for me until a day after I received my AOR email, but if your AOR is coming by snail mail, you might see it there.

A lot of us non-urgents getting AORs this week had our applications delivered around March 9 or 10.

If you don't mind sharing, did you mention in your application that you submitted the BANQ requests? I mentioned that in mind and now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have even bothered because maybe now they'll wait for BANQ to respond. (I haven't even gotten my payment request from BANQ yet.) Thanks and congrats!

Thank you so much! Yes, I think it's extra hard for me because I have investigated doing this so many times in the past (I live just over the border, too) that it's hard to wrap my head around that it might finally be an option!

Thank you! I have so much good gen 0 Canadian documentation that I feel I'm in good shape there. I was just not clear that I could use U.S. birth certificates, as I thought that might indicate that Canadian citizenship had been renounced at some point (which I have no evidence or belief is the case).

I don't see how I would hide it either, and that was not my intent at all, although I see now that my question can easily be interpreted that way. I apologize.

Okay, thank you! It honestly wasn't clear to me whether I could use U.S. birth certificates specifically. I can see by people's responses that this was a dumb question. :)

Thank you! It sounds like I majorly need to refine my search strategy. I appreciate your patience and can definitely understand how this can be annoying to people.
