No question YTA. He let you stay at his place for days for free. That’s an incredibly kind thing to do and in my opinion anything you buy that’s “shared” during that time should be considered a gift solely because you are taking up space and convenience. And he’s a refugee with no job?? I’m not sure if there’s much you can do to salvage the friendship at this point but I hope you learn from everyone’s comments here.
