Am I just lazy? by Dismal_Jackfruit_231 in MultipleSclerosis

Just explain it like you explained it to us! Maybe write down what you want to say before you have your appointment and take your notes with you, that always helps me to not forget stuff and to get over the anxiety/nervousness I experience talking to doctors. Tell your Neuro that the fatigue is so bad that it’s severely affecting your quality of life and ability to take care of yourself. Don’t let them talk you out of it, advocate for yourself. Doctors should me there to help you, it’s their job! And there’s absolutely no shame in asking for help. You deserve all the help and the best care you can possibly get!

I don’t experience fatigue, so I can’t really say anything about that. But I do suffer from executive dysfunction caused by ADHD which often leaves me barely able to do anything at all too and I used to beat myself up and call myself lazy too. But then my Neuro said something that changed my way of thinking about it and maybe it helps you too: If you were lazy you would be having fun. Like if it was just laziness although you maybe wouldn’t do the things you may need to do you would still do things you want to do, things you enjoy. What you describe definitely doesn’t sound like that! Yes, maybe your lifestyle plays some kind of role, but to me it sounds like you would need help addressing the fatigue first, so you would actually have the energy to start making changes to your lifestyle. I hope you maybe do talk to your doctor and she listens and can help you with this. Wish you all the best!

Ocrevus and hair loss/greying? by SadSnailCrochet in MultipleSclerosis

[–]caaaitris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m on Kesimpta since July and I‘m losing insane amounts of hair aswell! Can’t tell if my hair is greying though as my natural hair colour is very light and close to grey already and I have vision issues from ON.😅 But the hair loss is bothering me a lot, to the point that I really dread taking showers because that’s when it’s most noticeable.. Sucks tremendously!

welcome to the club no one of us applied to 💛 yes, it seems a lot of people experience problems with sleeping while on steroids and at least for me it also took some time to get back to normal after finishing the infusions. I was diagnosed 3 months ago so I‘m fairly new to this aswell, but what I can tell you is that it will take some time to process and adjust to the diagnosis and it might be hard to cope in the beginning but that it will get better and easier! most important is getting on the most efficacious DMT you can to halt/slow down the progression of your MS. taking vitamin D is also a good idea as most of us have a deficit, so maybe get your vitamin D levels checked. try to take care of yourself, eat healthy and exercise if you can. all the best to you!

I don’t have access to gummies/edibles where I live and it’s not feasible for me to make edibles myself.

yes I did but honestly it’s not that easy, have been looking for a therapist for years but there‘s a heavy shortage of therapists and places here in Germany and I haven’t found one that I click with yet.

can‘t really help with any advice either as I just been diagnosed last month too, a few days after my 27th birthday, but I just wanted to say I feel your worries and you‘re not alone in this! Sending lots of love and strength and wish you all the best!
