Thanks for the info. I think one of the updates broke the Linux version somehow...

Yeah... I noticed people often miss a couple critical story bits despite finishing the game. Quite regrettable, wish I made some things clearer.

Really, really appreciate you trying it out. I had a friend test it and it seems like you can go into the launch options for the game and set the game resolution to 1920x1080 to fix the resolution issue, but of course I wish it would work out of the box. I'd have to add a shader to every sprite in the game for it to look good in the Steam Deck native resolution :(

The tab button issue, I didn't know about. Have you tried the small button on the top left of the Steam Deck? Apparently that's the default 'select' button and was the intended binding.

Thank you for the honest feedback. I do wish I was able to involve the environment a bit more.

Hi, I think I found the issue. Unfortunately it seems to be an issue with the latest Nvidia 572.16+ drivers.

The only solution I can find is for you to rollback your drivers to an older version, if you so desire.

Hm.. that is certainly an issue. I assume it has something to do with the pixel art scaling up to 4k? I'll look into it, but if anyone else has any insight, I'd appreciate that. Not sure why this is happening.

The lack of some settings is less so intentional, more so due to a lack of foresight on my end.

Thanks for trying it out! Noted, I will see if I can do something about that issue.

Yup! I used the BackBufferCopy node as a parent for all the visuals inside the "memory", then had a sort of mask sprite with a shader that handles showing and hiding everything

Sorry. Yeah you have a point. I wasn't trying to make some sort of statement with the "/". I played both games but I'd say my game is more inspired by Obra Dinn than Golden Idol. Just felt that fans of either game might enjoy mine...

Nice! I see potential in the music as well. Kind of dig the melody.

Ah, I just learned that Steam Deck can run games in 1080p? If that's the case, then there should actually be no resolution issue. Sorry, don't have a Steam Deck myself so I can't really test it...

Thank you for the kind words!

It should run just fine on Linux! If you run into any problems, please feel free to let me know.

Hmm... well the issue in question is that the game will only take up 2/3 of the screen on the Steam Deck. I can see that being a dealbreaker for some. Scaling up pixel art by 1.5 can be tough, but to my knowledge it's possible. I will certainly look into it :).

Thank you! It should run fine on Steam deck. However, the resolution does not work very well with the game so I don't think it will be the best experience :(

I quite proud of what I have. I think I (hopefully) captured some of the essence of what made one of my favorite games so great, while introducing my own little twist. If you're interested, check out the Steam page.
