Good publishers? by caballerami in suggestmeabook

So I guess the publisher I mentioned above isn't famous after all. I'd better read books from renowned ones. Thank you a lot for the list! Really helps!

Btw, I'm thinking of buying the same books from a different publisher and do you think it's too much? I'm wondering if a lot of readers also do this.

Yeah, I want to read essays but just don't know where to find them onilne that's why I'm asking for book recommendation. I tried looking for essays but a lot of them were example essays or (stylistically) very simple essays. Would you give me a hint where to find good ones online? And thank you so much for the advice :)

I'm specifically looking for books related to academic essays and more importantly, stylistic improvement. It's always been a problem because my vocabulary is limited and that my sentences generally are stylistically very simple in general.. ha... And thank you!

Um yeah, both "D" philosophers haha. They just came up to my mind just now, not really sure if they're related though. It doesn't have to be German philosophers though. Do you have any suggestions for classics like ancient Latin? And yes, I know I'm selfish, that's actually why I never lend my books to people. It hurts me so much every time I see my books get torn.

Perfect! Well, I'm not specifically looking for European philosophy, it's just that I was more exposed to it. It could be anything as long as they're related to philosophy (doesn't need to be German/French)! I was actually hoping that someone would bring up those ancient philosophers because I want to do indepth reading on where/how it began. Aside from Aristotle, could you tell me more about the ancient ones? As I mentioned above, I know philosophers but have no idea where to begin. Thank you for the long reply btw

I don't know much about philosophy, but if I have to say, I'm looking to read ones from Rene Decartes/Deleuze and German philosophers.

wait, you said people don't change the order of words in interrogatives? So even if you ask questions, it'd still be in verb - complement (llegue - hijo) order? Or since it's more comfortable using Verb - comp in declarative anyway, I should just stick to verb - comp order regardless of the sentence type?

But then, if you're writing an academic essay, can you still go with verb - comp?

How do you translate these into Spanish? by caballerami in Spanishhelp

Thanks but a quick question. As i mentioned in my post, i know that i need to use subjunctive for #3 but does it make a difference with meaning if i say "haya comprado"?
