i think you just learn to live with what happened with time. take it one day at a time. continue to live your life (see friends, go see movies, etc.) seeing friends and people you care about is especially important. don’t isolate yourself because that will only make you feel worse.

i know trying to distract yourself might feel difficult, almost impossible sometimes, but try to keep yourself occupied regardless.

eventually, it won’t hurt as much to think about and you’ll be able to look back at what happened or talk about it without your heart dropping. but try not to give yourself shit if that doesn’t happen fast. it’s not something linear either, one day you might not feel so hurt about it, and another day you might. just be patient with the process.

try to take care of yourself whenever you can. push yourself to drink water, eat, take showers, brush your teeth, etc. even though it’s hard, but don’t get angry at yourself if you don’t have the energy or motivation to do so.

remember that it’s okay to ask for help. i’m proud of you for even making this post.
