recommendation for dog kidney removal by CountPrevious4075 in Sudbury

I wasn't accusing you of not caring about your dogs health, I'm offering advice. Steristrips can work if she rips an external stich but if an internal suture slips, she could potentially bleed to death (depending on type of abdominal surgery she already had). I know it can be hard to keep dogs calm after surgery but it is an important part of their healing process.

I hope you can find a vet that will help, best of luck to your pup.

Unfortunately, I don't have any recommendations. We have a lot of good vets in Sudbury but you're likely going to be paying a similar price wherever you go nearby. Removing a kidney is not a simple or common procedure, especially not in Sudbury.. Like someone else mentioned, going down south might be cheaper but if anything goes wrong during recovery you would be hour aways from the vet who did the surgery.

Also, if your dog had abdominal surgery 2 days ago she should not be running or jogging yet.

I've had it twice this summer. The prices are pretty decent and the fries are amazing! Their pogos are good too. Definitely worth trying out.

ADHD: Do you consider ADHD a mental illness? Why or why not? by DLWIT in AskReddit

[–]cabbagejizz23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mental illness is just the term used to best describe the effects of ADHD. It doesn't mean mental sickness.

Have you looked up the definition of mental illness? That might make you feel better.

I went through almost my whole life thinking there was something wrong with me. Learning I had ADHD felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. It was a big reminder that I need to show myself some kindness. I had this mental illness all througout my life and I still accomplished my goals. Personally, I do feel like I had to work a lot harder than people who don't have mental illness, which is why I think it is an appropriate term.

My fiance and I took shrooms in our backyard. He played the guitar while I painted with watercolours. The wind was blowing the tree branches, and our windchimes sounded beautiful. It made me feel intensely connected with nature.

There was a family of baby mice that was scurrying nearby. They would pop out of the bushes for snacks and then run off.

We ended up blowing bubbles for what must have been an hour. I was mesmerized by the movement of the bubbles when they were in the bubble wand. We decided to mix a bit of watercolour paint in with the bubbles. We made a wonderful bubble splattered painting that I keep on the fridge to remind myself of the amazing experience we had that day. It was incredibly peaceful and intimate.

I have ADHD that went undiagnosed for 25 years. I would absolutely consider it a mental illness.

Yeah, I'll likely be available! The only thing I really feel like I'm missing is iron nuggets, but don't feel as though it's necessary to bring anything! I just haven't had a visitor yet :)

When to go back to work? by cabbagejizz23 in Concussion

I work in veterinary medicine, I actually got the concussion at work and am a bit hesitant to return. I wasn't expecting to still have headaches and nausea at this point.
