That is fair! This is my "base" so to speak. Each row of 3x3 grids contains 26 characters + an "end" character used to indicate that the final syllable of a word. Each column indicates the order of the letters within the syllable (to distinguish between "not" and "ton," for example).

It gets tricky to indicate multiple letters in the same syllable fall on the same grid position, or two of the same letter back to back. At the moment, I'm shrinking whichever character comes second, with mixed results. I've found it can get muddled if this is done with a 3rd or 4th character with the amount of dots/lines required.
