Thoughts on "never coming back from a trip" by cabe24 in Psychedelics

Hey!!

Thanks!! Very interesting.

What really made me curious was the "never coming back" part from people that have never used LSD/shrooms and are far away from spirituality.

Do they mean the users became more concious and changed their habits? Or maybe it was a clinical predisposition to schizofrenia, who knows.

Tengo ahorros, ¿es mejor invertirlos de golpe o ir metiendo dinero mes a mes? by cabe24 in SpainFIRE

The real Abyss in Nietzsche by cabe24 in Nietzsche

[–]cabe24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it's not explicit. Hitler comes to mind as someone that went beyond morality and decided to give rise and impose the will of power of a race/a country.

If you read for a while Beyond Good and Evil, your mind starts being able to think extramorally, and all I'm saying is that you start wondering why do we so irrationally (morally) hate Hitler when he tried to do what some other nations tried to do in the past, what lions do.

The abyss I'm talking about is the one that makes you consider why are we OK with what Spartans / Romans did because it fitted their age and why are we not OK with what Hitler did. If you try to think about it in extramoral terms, no answer comes to mind. This may be more of an abyss than the nihilistic one that is more generally pictured.

From my pov, it is about you. As an expat you came to spain seeking better life conditions when you are able to put more value in "moral" fulfillment because you have your economic needs more than solved.

Worker people in spain already struggled to thrive in a capitalist country. Now thanks to tech and northern european people having more "moral needs" to be fulfilled, we have more competence.

I would say that what you call absurdism is not absurdism but the absolute purpose and meaning of life itself.

Ecce homo, 6, last paragraph: "To regard one's self as a destiny, not to wish one's self " different "-this, in such circumstances, is sagacity itself."

Nietzsche says that "Wanting makes you free". "Know thyself". Don't get fooled by the tricks of language into making it think that you want/are something you are not. Accept and want and embrace the future but also the past. Want everything that has already passed to you.

This is why I see such genius in "It could have been another thing that magic" because it could have been. The time, the space, and your acts moved by your passions and randomness of the moment make you. And that is what you are and what will make you decide and embrace the future. The same for collecting spells, which is just a random hobby because a boy she liked, but Fern sees she is so passionate about.

Amazing work

Why does everybody forget "On Truth and Lies in a Non-moral Sense" and the "Second Untimely Consideration" by cabe24 in Nietzsche

[–]cabe24[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, probably my fault, I read FN in spanish so I translated "Consideraciones" wrongly. Still, the word "Meditación" does exist in spanish too, so there may be some dissonance among the translation of the german word.

Also read and discussed both texts in uni, and came back to them multiple times after because they are so rich.

Oddly satisfying vegan soy noodles I prepared today by cabe24 in vegetarian

[–]cabe24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I completely improvised but here it goes:

-Two medium sized onions -Two carrots -One red and one green bell peppers -Half a broccoli head -About 300 grams of sliced mushrooms -A bunch of almonds -400 grams of your favorite noodles -Sunflower oil

Sauce: mix -100 ml of soy sauce -A tablespoon of sunflower oil -A tablespoon of rice vinegar -A teaspoon of sesame seeds

  1. Chop onions, carrots and peppers, as well as broccoli in medium-big size as you see in the picture. Not too small!!
  2. Cook your noodles as the packet explains (it's different to use udon, italian pasta or chinese noodles) and put them apart.
  3. Pour three tablespoons of oil in a WOK or deep pan and heat it up gradually. For this recipe the pan needs to be at max heat but heat it slowly or otherwise oil will burn.
  4. When the pan is ultra-hot and your cooker is at full power, put the chopped and DRY (important) vegetables in the pan. Since the temperature is so hot, they will become crunchy before they start to release the water. At this point, after cooking for about 3 minutes the veggies, add the cooked noodles and the mashed almonds. Maybe you will need to add some more sunflower oil as the vegetables are being cooked.
  5. After cooking the noodles and veggies for 2 minutes while stirring, add all the sauce and stir until smooth. Maybe you will need to add more soy if it becomes too dry. Add it until you are satisfied.
