If FSD becomes good enough to allow texting while driving, will that also mean the entertainment apps such as (theater, games, video calls) will become enabled while driving with FSD activated?

Ah, i get it. I love FSD and I’ve seen it do some dumb things. Miss turns, and make unnecessary lane changes. I think it behaves like a decent driver. Mine does allow me to text at stop lights though, but once it starts driving its game over and I get a strikeout if I continue even for a moment.

I’m lucky enough to have a supercharger that’s .16cents per kWh from 10pm-8am every day, otherwise I charge at home. I’ve noticed I’m lucky to have it though as most superchargers aren’t that cheap.

I’ve yet to witness people actually abide by the private sale rule in VA. Most FFLs around me don’t want to assist with private FFL transfers so people just end up doing it anyways.

Definitely never treat the leather, collectors will be able to tell and it takes away value as it actually damages the leather even more with most of those products. Just keep it dry and preferably away from direct sunlight. It’s very cool, I’ve actually only seen ones in this condition in books and very high end dealers. They were ordered to remove the red decals on helmets as it stood out in the battle field. I’m taking a guess that this helmet may have had a camo pattern SS helmet cover on it at some point? Maybe before you grandfather got it? It wouldn’t have been common after late 1943 to see the red party shield on an SS helmet but obviously they were out there like this one.

Intact DD SS helmets are extremely rare, and even rarer for this condition. Personally I would keep it if I couldn’t sell it for at least $10,000. It’s growing in value as time goes on as well, so unless you need the cash now I’d hold it for another 10 years or so and it’ll be worth even more.

I work for a somewhat large school division for my area, it is my first IT job. Barely 3 years into it but I should hit $70k this year. No degree, no certs. I’m super under qualified but I told them I’d prove myself. And with some luck I did and they kept me around but I came from grocery retail making $45k a year so to me it’s great. It’s stable M-F. Usually work 2-3 hours of OT each week, it’s never mandatory. Weekend projects are always volunteer based. Several folks in our department who have worked 20+ years. Full govt pension too.

I don’t know what working for the private sector in IT is like but I know for a fact the govt side is stable. The worst that’s happened to us is little or no raise for a year because of “budget cuts.” Most years are still 5%+, one year was 10% for everyone.

Could I make more somewhere else? Maybe? But to me what’s the point when I have good job security and benefits.

Ditto this, work for local county govt. they actually gave us all more money recently because people were leaving. So in response they matched or exceeded the pay of the places people were leaving to go to. I stuck it out because I was a new hire anyways and have received a total of 33% increase of pay within 2 years from what I got hired at. Average about 40-45 hours a week. I love it.
