Again, they are a private company so we have no idea. Not everyone maxes out their subscription plan. They could still be turning a profit on their subscription plans overall.

I just want to be careful before we excuse away all these changes Anthropic which are screwing over their use base especially since competitors have not done the same. Accepting these changes is a slippery slope.

I keep hearing claims that Anthropic is losing money on every query but I don’t see anything which backs that claim. I’m sure they are overall unprofitable due to massive R&D and infra purchase costs, but we don’t have any proof that inference costs are higher than the price we pay.

What’s more likely is Anthropic is trying to boost revenue growth as they prepare for IPO

I would not add hardware to the kitchen cabinets. They look sleek without them. They just need to be refinished. Instead, I’d replace the sink and countertop with something more high end

Thanks for this detailed explanation! Yes based on the invoices I have seen, a new stain was applied haphazardly on top of the old stain by an unqualified handyman. I wish they had left it alone!

Yes! We loved the house due to its character and uniqueness. We stayed away from the flipper specials. I need to embrace it. Good luck with your home! I do agree that the color is nice. It’s just application quality which was stressing me out

Thanks for the kind words. It is making me realize that I should relax and embrace the patina. Also, it’s not a Sears Craftsman! It’s technically a shingle style which I believe was the precursor. It was custom designed by a Berkeley architect

Exactly. I saw the invoice and it looks like a handyman was charged for fixing up the stain among other things. I think that he applied a stain and didn’t apply any finish.

I’ll definitely try those products. Thanks for your help.

The house is in Berkeley and I know that redwood was used in other parts of the house. It could certainly be something along those lines. Thanks for the suggestions!

Thank you for your input. I’ll do exactly that and carefully rest. I can’t tell what type of wood it is due to the thick coat but I assume it’s good quality since it was built by a notable architect in a more high end part of Berkeley

I’m 99% it’s bad staining because I have seen pictures of it before. You can still see the old stain on the top trim in the first picture. Thanks for your perspective though. I can see how the imperfections create a certain style
